    HR Advisor – 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract (Part‑Time)
     
    Location: UK Division
    Reporting to: European HR Director
    Start Date: Immediate
     
    A major PLC with a strong UK presence is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its high‑performing HR function on a 12‑month fixed term basis.     The Role
    Working closely with the European HR Director, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality HR support across the UK division. The role requires a confident HR professional who can balance day‑to‑day advisory work with project‑based responsibilities, particularly around wellbeing and systems implementation.
    This position is ideal for someone who is immediately available, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is looking for a part‑time role with real impact.

    Provide comprehensive HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across the UK division.
    Lead and maintain wellbeing policies, processes, and initiatives, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement.
    Support HR system changes, upgrades, and implementations, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
    Contribute to change management activities, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and tools.
    Assist with employee relations matters, including absence management, performance, and policy interpretation.
    Produce HR reports, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision‑making.
    Collaborate with the wider European HR team to ensure alignment and consistency across regions.




    RequirementsThe ideal candidate will bring:
    CIPD qualification or equivalent HR professional accreditation.
    Proven experience in HR advisory roles within a fast‑paced environment.
    Strong knowledge of wellbeing frameworks, policies, and best practice.
    Solid understanding of HR systems and experience supporting system implementations or upgrades.
    A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to drive change.
    Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
    Availability to start immediately and commit to a 12‑month fixed term contract.

    Overview
    We're on the lookout for a Group Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in reporting, planning, and supporting the decision making process across the UK and International operations of a privately owned Manufacturing business.
    Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position is integral to ensuring accurate financial insights, driving efficiency through process improvements, and enabling senior leadership team to make informed strategic decisions that foster growth and profitability.


    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Reporting & Analysis.
    Collaborate with the Finance Manager to prepare monthly management accounts for UK and EU entities.
    Deliver insightful reporting and variance analysis to support senior leadership decision-making.
     
    Oversight
    Supervise the Assistant Management Accountant, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations (Balance Sheet, intercompany, and third-party submissions).
    Provide guidance and foster accountability within the finance team.
     
    Systems & Process Improvement
    Partner with the Finance team to enhance ERP and reporting systems, driving automation and efficiency.
    Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and accuracy.

    Audit & Compliance

    Support annual audit preparation, ensuring documentation is delivered within agreed timelines.
    Prepare and submit VAT returns for UK and European entities; liaise with external accountants on subsidiary compliance.
    Ensure all regulatory reports are completed within statutory deadlines.
    Cashflow & Month-End Management
    Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts and manage month-end close procedures.
    Post management journals (accruals, prepayments, corrections) and ensure ledger integrity.
     
    Commercial Support
    Review annual rebate agreements and prepare monthly provisions.
    Compile and distribute sales figures to stakeholders for rebate invoicing.
    Calculate sales commissions for payroll and ensure accurate journal postings. 

    Expense & Credit Control
    Oversee staff expense claims and company credit card usage, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

    Continuous Improvement
    Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting.
    Drive efficiency initiatives in collaboration with the Finance Manager and ERP team.



    RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate 

    Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
    Minimum 3- 5+ years’ management accounting experience, with exposure to International operations
    Strong knowledge of European statutory reporting requirements, VAT, and import/export compliance.
    Experience with inventory management processes.
    Advanced IT proficiency, including ERP systems, Excel, and Power BI.
    Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
