We’re a profitable, privately owned, and fast-moving company looking for talented individuals to join our team and deliver our strategic objectives.What You’ll Be DoingAs a mechanical inspector, you’ll play a key role in making sure every component and finished product meets top-quality standards. Your day-to-day will include:Carrying out first-off inspections of CNC-machined partsUsing precision measuring tools like micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and plug gaugesChecking CAD and machined components against drawings and specifications (imperial measurements)Completing QC paperwork and helping resolve quality issues with Quality Assurance and PurchasingManaging acceptance or return of defective parts via our ERP systemUsing advanced measurement equipment like CMM or FARO arms (full training provided!)As a mechanical inspector, you’ll be right at the heart of quality, making sure everything leaving the workshop is top-notch.What You’ll BringHave a mechanical background (apprenticeship, vocational training, or industry experience)Have experience in machine shops, automotive, aerospace, or precision engineeringCan confidently interpret engineering drawings and use inspection toolsUnderstand ISO9001:2015 quality systemsAre comfortable with computers and completing documentationAre reliable, detail-oriented, and proactiveEnjoy being part of a team and have a positive, can-do attitudeHave good numeracy, literacy, and communication skillsWhat’s On Offer?Competitive starting pay of £15–£20 per hour depending on experienceOvertime opportunities at premium ratesEmployee Assistance Programme (free and confidential support)Company pension schemeMedical cash plan covering dental, optical, physio, and moreTraining opportunities to develop your career as a mechanical inspectorLong service awards to recognise your dedicationExtra holiday based on length of service
