We are recruiting for a Marketing & Communications Lead to join us here at Octavius.
We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
This a crucial role in the ongoing success of our impressive growth journey and comes at an exciting time of our integration into the RSK Group. As such, you will possess strong leadership skills, can adapt and manage change, and be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and problem-solving when required. A strong financial acumen will enable you to be resourceful and adopt the most efficient and effective marketing strategies to meet campaign objectives whilst optimising budget.
This role will be home based with travel as required.
You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)
To lead the creation and delivery of marketing strategies, campaigns and tactical communication that strengthen the Octavius brand, support business growth, and communicate our value to customers, supply chain partners and employees. In this role, you will:
Shape and deliver campaigns that align with our business plan and growth priorities
Lead a small, skilled team to produce high-quality content and communications across all channels
Collaborate with leaders across the business to ensure our marketing efforts are strategic, targeted, and measurable
Champion creativity, consistency, and continuous improvement in everything we deliver

You're a strategic thinker and hands-on marketer who thrives on collaboration, creativity, and results. You bring:
A proven ability to design and execute multi-channel marketing and communications strategies aligned to business goals.
Strong digital skills – comfortable leading SEO, social media, paid campaigns, automation, and analytics to drive engagement and growth.
Confidence with data and performance reporting, using insight to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and align diverse teams.
Strong creative judgement and attention to detail, capable of shaping compelling visual and written content.
Leadership experience managing a small team, developing skills, and fostering a culture of curiosity and accountability.
Commercial awareness and financial acumen to manage budgets effectively and prioritise investment where it adds most value.
You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)
Significant experience in marketing, campaigns, or communications leadership roles.
Experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction is desirable but not essential, whilst familiarity with public sector procurement is advantageous.
Degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Membership of a professional body such as CIM or CIPR (desirable).
