About Nothing Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again. We’re building a different kind of technology company, one that puts design, emotion, and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look and feel to how we communicate and show up in culture, we believe technology should make you feel something.
Founded in London in 2020, we’ve grown from idea to global challenger in just a few years. Backed by GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, and C Ventures, and investors like Tony Fadell (iPod), Casey Neistat, and Kevin Lin (Twitch), we’re now sold in 40+ markets with millions of users worldwide. About the Team We’re the Creative team at Nothing, and we’re building something better. Tech should be exciting, fun, and designed to inspire. Our team is responsible for transforming our clear and sharp design language into expressive, moving stories that captivate a worldwide community. As a challenger brand, we move fast because we’re small and independent. You'll be the only dedicated Motion Designer within our 5-person brand creative team, reporting to the Art Director. This means you’ll have direct ownership over high-impact visual content, including assets for our London launch events and global YouTube channel, reaching millions of viewers. What You'll Do Collaborate across Creative, Product, and Marketing teams to design high-impact visual content that reflects the Nothing brand ethos. Concept, design, and animate playful motion graphics for all our digital platforms, including product launches, brand films, social campaigns, and UI/UX mockups. Create dynamic assets across various formats, including fast short-form video, high-fidelity product renders, kinetic typography, and targeted campaign motion. Work within and evolve our designed visual language, ensuring absolute consistency across both static and motion applications. Support all post-production phases, including editing, transitions, and providing sharp direction on sound design and final rendering. Stay current with emerging design and animation trends, continually pushing the expressive and open creative boundaries of the brand. What We're Looking For Proven experience in motion design, ideally within an agency or consumer brand environment, with a strong background in graphic design fundamentals. An expressive portfolio showcasing a mix of static design and fluid motion work, especially brand and product storytelling that shows, not tells, what’s new. Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) is essential for executing the work with excellence. A resourceful mindset with a strong sense of ownership and drive to see projects through to final delivery, ensuring every frame is light and clear. Experience with 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, or equivalent) is a strong plus, enabling a wider range of creative executions. An exceptional understanding of timing, pacing, and visual rhythm in animation, combined with the pragmatism to meet rapid deadlines. A collaborative and direct mindset, able to take feedback, pivot quickly, and work independently to deliver useful final assets. How We Work We build better tech by moving fast. That speed demands direct collaboration and shared creative energy. We believe the best work happens when we're together. Location: London (Kings Cross & Farringdon offices). Working Pattern: This is a full-time, in-office role (5 days a week). We move fast, and that means being physically present. We design flexibility around personal needs, but we focus on the magic that sparks when we’re all in the same room. Commute: We ask that you live within a 60-minute commute of your home office location. Read Less

About the Team
We’re a small, sharp in-house creative team based in our London office. Our focus is on crafting a clear, distinct visual language for Nothing, ensuring every touchpoint—from a product box to a global social post—feels like us. We move fast because we’re small and independent, meaning every designer here has a direct line to our co-founders and product teams. Right now, we’re focused on solving the hard problem of maintaining visual consistency and clarity while we scale into new global markets and launch complex new product categories. If you want to design for a brand that’s building something better and pushing back against generic tech, this is the place. What You'll Do Take ownership of mid-size projects from the initial concept through to final delivery, independently art directing and managing the creative process with minimal oversight. Bring the Nothing brand to life through bold, consistent, and refined visual design across all channels. Support the development and maintenance of our brand guidelines and design systems to ensure our open and direct ethos is clear in every visual execution. Translate campaign concepts into cohesive visual executions that work across multiple internal and external touchpoints. Collaborate closely with Art Directors, copywriters, and product designers to ensure a unified and expressive brand experience. Design for a wide range of channels, including social media, web, email, PR, retail, packaging, and internal communications. Work with motion designers to develop engaging storyboards and assets for animated content. What We're Looking For 3–5 years of experience in a graphic design role, ideally with a focus on tech, fashion, or a lifestyle brand, or a top-tier creative agency. A portfolio that clearly demonstrates systems thinking, strong layout design, expressive typography, and brand storytelling. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma; experience with motion tools (e.g., After Effects) is a valuable plus. You are a self-starter who demonstrates ownership by proactively driving projects forward and managing your workload without needing constant supervision. A pragmatic approach to design, capable of balancing ambitious creative vision with fast-paced timelines and evolving product priorities. A sharp eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to excellence in typography, visual hierarchy, and composition. Strong communication skills, with the directness and confidence to present and defend your design ideas to internal stakeholders. How We Work We build better tech by moving fast. About the Team We are the Social team—the fast, open, and direct voice of Nothing. We're building something better by ensuring our community is the first to experience the excitement of our products. This team moves at the speed of culture, so our output needs to be sharp and expressive. You will be the first dedicated Video Editor in the Social team, working closely with the Social Lead and the Content Creator to own the entire short-form video output. We’re focused on making content that could only come from Nothing, meaning we avoid corporate deflection and keep it real and transparent. The success of this role will be measured by improving average video view-through rates (VTR) and increasing organic reach on short-form platforms. What You'll Do Craft the overarching video content strategy, ensuring all dynamic output is designed for maximum engagement across key channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts). Collaborate directly with the Social and Creative teams to transform sharp ideas into fast, visually compelling, and open video stories. Execute a dual content strategy by producing both high-end, expressive campaign videos and rapid, playful low-fi edits driven by current trends. Optimise every video asset for mobile viewing, including precise aspect ratios, closed captions, and punchy visual hooks. Maintain a direct and human storytelling approach, ensuring content is always on-brand and clear , while handling fast turnarounds. Stay current with evolving social trends, adapting rapidly to new formats and techniques to keep the brand conversation fresh. Support the team by handling, organising, and editing a wide variety of raw footage styles efficiently. What We're Looking For Proven experience in social video editing (ideally 2+ years), showcasing a portfolio of content that drove real engagement and organic growth. Strong proficiency with editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro—you must be able to move quickly and deliver with pragmatism. A solid, direct understanding of what performs best on each social channel (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts), with the drive to constantly test new formats. An absolute commitment to excellence in timing, pacing, and visual rhythm, understanding that small details make a big impact in short-form video. Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a strong asset, allowing you to create more expressive and designed video hooks. A collaborative and open mindset that welcomes constructive feedback and can quickly adapt to evolving creative briefs. Strong attention to detail and an owner mindset; you thrive under tight deadlines and are comfortable with a minimum output of 15 final video assets per week.
