    About the role Northamptonshire Adult Learning Service are looking to recruit an inspiring and enthusiastic Substantive Teacher to join our Study Programme provision. This vacancy is open to internal applicants at North Northamptonshire Council Only. What will you be doing? The aim of our study programme provision is to reduce the number of NEETS across Northamptonshire, by offering a suitable but alternative provision to the traditional post 16 educational pathways.     About the role We are looking to appoint an Access and Communication Support Worker to deliver dedicated support to children and young people with vision impairments within school settings, promoting inclusive access to learning and the wider curriculum. This is a term-time post and the salary is pro rata.  What will you be doing? This role involves working directly within school settings between 8.30am -3.30pm to support students with significant vision needs, ensuring they have full access to the curriculum through the adaptation of educational resources. The role will involve supporting the development of braille and other specialist skills.The Hearing and Vision Specialist Team provides specialist support to children and young people aged 0–19 across both West and North Northamptonshire. Applicants must be willing and able to travel to a variety of school locations, and therefore a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. About you A qualification in Braille and familiarity with Inclusive Technology are desirable; however, a willingness to undertake training is essential.
