Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated individual to join our team as a Shop Assistant & Delivery Driver. This role combines helping customers in our shop with delivering products to farms and homes in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will be an animal lover, comfortable with both customer service and hands-on work around a working farm environment. Key Responsibilities: Shop Assistant Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner Stock shelves with products weighing up to 25KG, keep the shop clean, and maintain organised displays Handle sales transactions, including cash, card, and electronic payments Advise customers on products for pets and farm animals Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management Delivery Driver Responsibilities: Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to customers and farmyards Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely service Load and unload heavy products and checking stock Ensure deliveries are handled safely and securely Follow all company procedures, health, and safety guidelines Skills & Qualifications: Full UK driving licence Strong communication and customer service skills Basic computer skills for operating tills and inventory systems Comfortable working in a farm environment and not afraid to get dirty Physically fit and able to comfortably handle products up to 25kg Passion for animals, particularly dogs and horses Desirable (Nice to Have): Previous experience in retail or delivery roles Forklift licence Minimum of Grade C in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) Working Hours: Tuesday to Friday: 8:30am 5:30pm Saturday: 8:30am 1:00pm What We Offer: Friendly, supportive team environment Training and development opportunities, including forklift licence training Varied, hands-on role combining customer service and deliveries Job Type: Full-time Pay: £12.50 per hour Expected hours: 36.5 per week Benefits: Employee discount Free parking On-site parking Work Location: In person
