    Role Overview: We are currently recruiting a Paint Technician (Paint Sprayer) to join our growing, friendly team at Niftylift! The role is based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Stonebridge, Milton Keynes.
    We are seeking a collaborative team player with proven experience in wet paint spraying using 2K paint products, as well as strong skills in the preparation of materials and components.
    Working Hours:This role works on a rotating shift pattern, and the successful candidate will work one week of early shifts followed by one week of late shifts:Early Shift: 06:00 - 14:00 (Monday - Thursday), 06:00 - 11:30 (Friday).Late Shift: 14:00 - 22:00 (Monday - Thursday), 11:00 - 16:30 (Friday).
    Key Responsibilities:Carry out wet painting (primer and gloss) using airless, air-assisted and HVLP systems.Working with 2K paint products.Maintain a strong awareness of paint shop health and safety, including the safe handling of isocyanites and flammable substances.Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to develop skills accross wet paint and powder coating processes; prior powder coating experience is advantageous but not essential.Operate effectively withon a lean manufacturing and continuous improvement environment.Work collaboratively to meet customer requirements for quality, delivery, cost and innovation.
    Previous Experience:Proven experience in wet spray painting, ideally in a commercial, manufacturing or automotive paint environment (desirable).Knowledge of paint shop health and safety practices.Experience using and maintaining air-fed respiratory equipment.Exposure to powder coating processes (desirable).Experience working in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment.

    Salary & Earnings:Guaranteed hourly starting rate: £13.69 per hour (rising to a maximum of £14.94 per hour once signed off at specific skill levels)Shift Premium: 15% on all basic hours worked (37.5 per week)Overtime Premiums: Level A - £20.53 per hour (x1.5), Level B - £27.38 per hour (x2.0)Bonus: Weekly production bonus guaranteed at a minimum of £50 per week when all qualifying criteria are met, annual bonus (for indication only) based on recent average £500 per annum

    The CNC Machining Technician Role requires team players with experience, skills, and knowledge in CNC programmes and parameters. The role requires operating to high quality/workmanship standards within a world-class manufacturing team and facility.
    Responsibilities and Duties:Operate CNC Machine centres to achieve the required quality and at the required output (twin horizontal twin pallet)Provide feedback and ideas for improving the process and identifying & reporting reasons for any delaysFollow planned daily targets to ensure the correct mix of work is completed to maintain/ improve Kanban stock levels and ensure no delays occurEnsure no faults are passed forward to the next process and highlight any concerns
    Experience:Ideally apprentice trained with previous machining experience (minimum 3 years)Previous experience of CNC Programmes & Parameters;PC literate with emphasis on Microsoft Excel;Previous experience following standard operating procedure for setting up fixtures and jobsAwareness of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.

    Working Hours & Salary:Double Day Shift - Hours will be 06:00 -14:00 or 14:00 - 22:00 Monday - Thursday & Friday 06:00-11:30 11:30 - 17:00 rotating shifts
    Guaranteed basic starting salary £15.51 x 37.5 hours per week plus guaranteed minimum £45 per week bonus - £37,121.00 per annum plus structured overtime paid at premium rates outlined below:
    Level A - Overtime paid at premium rate of £23.27 per hour (i.e. x 1.5).Level B - Overtime paid at premium rate of £31.02 per hour (i.e. x 2.0).Double day shift premium x 1.15

    Plus additional monthly bonus aligned to business performance that equates to total bonus payments of £195 - £350 per month on average (for reference only).

    The Team Leader is responsible for the control of a production area, within the overall production function team.They will use their knowledge / previous experience in managing CNC's, Robots and team members to successfully lead their teams.Provide leadership to the team and drive targets to meet output KPI's. 
    Responsibilities and Duties:-      Efficient organisation and control of staff. Regular and structured communication with teams, through daily team shift start-up meetings and Stakeholder Meeting held and chaired to set agenda.-      Guidance and support to achieve full flexibility, balancing and achievement to standards.-      Compliance with health and safety standards. Risk assessments, COSHH Assessments, Manual Handling Assessments, Safety Barometers. -      Ensuring ISO 9001 procedures are complied with, including in process inspection sheets, auditing and controlling line quality, control of internal / external quality notes, and the implementation of preventative actions.-      Maintaining accurate information on the companies manufacturing systems (i.e. engineering masters / works orders etc).    -      Control attainment to build plan delivery requirements, through liaison with Production Administrator and Section Managers. Hands on maintenance to balance the flow line, and minimise line stoppages, including absence cover. Flexibility to ensure targets are met.-      Continuous improvement, through Kaizen. Actual times to be achieved and beaten through the implementation of lean manufacturing, including removal of all non-value-added operations (7 Wastes). Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and organisation (5s).  -      Measuring and managing performance in accidents/incidents, internal quality defects, cell productivity/utilisation, takt analysis, overall stock accuracy and WIP (flow line adherence).-      Ensuring all related company procedures are audited and complied with.-      Owning the area in its entirety and escalating where and when required  Experience:Computer literate in Microsoft office and manufacturing software systems;Proven ability to manage a multi skilled team;Experienced and knowledgeable in capacity planning and scheduling work load requirements;Basic technical / inspection knowledge on the above disciplines;Experience of operating within a lean manufacturing/continuous improvement team environment;Able to develop continuous improvement in all aspects of the people, facility, processes and products;Ability to work to high commercial quality standards.
    Working Hours & Salary:Shifts of Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30 & Friday 07:30-13:30 (40 hours per week)

    1      OverviewThe apprentice Engineering Technician will look at all technical aspects of Engineering within our site in Hoyland which could include: Quality, Design and/or Production Engineering. This means that the successful candidate will receive a comprehensive overview of Niftylift's operations in Hoyland.
    As this is an apprenticeship the candidate will study at The AMRC Training Centre to gain the following qualification Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technologies on the apprenticeship standard, Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician.
    2      RelationshipsResponsible to:         Quality, Production Engineering & Design department managers Liaison with:              Quality Engineers, Production Engineers, Design Engineers, Welders
    3      Main tasksDesign Engineer Roles
            Innovative and comprehensive design to improve manufacturing processes at our site in Hoyland.
            Detail design support within project teams ensuring aesthetic, robust, quality design solutions are achieved, through utilisation of a wide range of materials and manufacturing methods.
            Fully competent usage of the full range of tools incorporated within Pro Engineer 3D CAD package.         Support the manufacture of the company's existing and new product range through generating effective engineering information / systems / manufacturing processes / BOM's and system troubleshooting / diagnostics. 

    Quality Control & Engineer Roles
            To effectively and efficiently control and administer the company's quality control systems in line with ISO9001, TUV and other company defined standards. 
            Process all non-conformities through the internal / external quality note system, including identification of agreed preventative actions.         Provide and manage a framework for the Warranty Returns and Customer Complaints through the company's 8D system.           Provide hands on technical assistance for component field failures, ensuring parts are diagnostic / analysed and project managed through to preventative design, supply or build action.         Conduct Supplier Evaluation Audits and development programs.
            Responsible for establishing trends, corrective and preventative actions to support both Niftylift internal and external supply chain.
            Development of robust machine testing procedures and inspection, including hands on hot testing. Production Engineering         Support the manufacture of the company's existing and new product range through generating effective engineering information/systems/manufacturing processes and facilities in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.
            Help to implement a successful Lean Manufacturing culture, focusing on continual improvement and the elimination/reduction of all wastes by educating the business and removing non value-added waste from the business processes.
            Supporting the development of and integration of automated processes, through programming, system management and optimised workflow methods connected to Lean Manufacturing and Niftylift Workshop Standards.           The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role and the organisation's overall business objectives, this may include the training and mentoring of colleagues.
    4      Qualifications & experience           Minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent): Grade 4 or above in Maths, English Language and Science.           Good level of computer literacy            Awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations           Demonstrable interest in Engineering
