    The RoleAs part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision. Cover is also provided on a rostered basis to ENT services at Monkland’s District General Hospital.The job holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest possible standard of care is delivered to patients, families, carers and significant other. The successful candidate will be expected to work within a busy Dermatology unit at Inverclyde Hospital and will be expected to help cover at Royal Alexandra Hospital or Vale of Leven if required. The day to day duties include assisting at outpatients clinics which will include venepuncture. You will also be covering Phototherapy, Topical treatments, Patch testing and assisting with Surgical sessions. You will also work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of person-centred care within the wide variety of both Consultant and nurse led clinics. You will be a suitably qualified nurse and will develop, and /or further develop specialty skills and care in providing a high standard of care for patients with a dermatology condition.     Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, Band 6 or Trainee Cardiac Physiologist, Band 5This post is an exciting opportunity for either a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist or a Trainee Cardiac Physiologist to join the Tayside team based at Ninewells Hospital and Perth Royal Infirmary. Tayside is a beautiful area situated on the east coast of Scotland and is close to the other major Scottish cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. It is a fantastic area to live and work. Integrated into the Ninewells Hospital site is the University of Dundee which has an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. Our busy Cardiology departments are staffed by a friendly and committed team, who provide a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive cardiology investigations. These include Coronary Angiography, Primary PCI using up to date techniques, ICD, CRT-D, Pacemaker implantation and follow-up, a Physiologist-led injectable loop implantation service, Echocardiography including TTE & TOE, Physiologist-led stress testing including RACP and Chest Pain Clinics and a variety of ambulatory monitoring techniques, as well as a routine ECG service. The successful band 6 candidate will be expected to work in all areas and therefore be appropriately qualified and experienced. If you are not experienced in all of these areas, further opportunities to develop your skills within specialist areas such as echocardiography or cardiac rhythm management, will be given. Applications for this post are invited from physiologists who possess a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification. The applicant must hold AHCS registration or equivalent. A current qualification in Immediate Life Support (ILS) is desirable but not essential. Applications are also invited from post graduate Life Sciences students to apply for a trainee post, Band 5, as a Healthcare Science Practitioner by completing the Practitioner Trainee Programme (PTP) in Cardiac Science. Trainees will be working through academic study, practical skills and assessments to gain equivalence registration through the Academy for Healthcare Science, to become a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, Band 6.Candidates must have an equivalent honours degree for entry into this programme and completed a dissertation as part of their existing degree.The equivalent degree requirements are:

    Pharmacy ServicesGlasgow Royal Infirmary, GlasgowSpecialist Pharmacist Older Peoples ServiceBand 7 (12 months)37 hours per weekWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced clinical pharmacist with excellent communication skills to join our Older Peoples Service clinical pharmacy team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.The team provides a service to just under 200 care of the elderly and stroke patients in the Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit, Medical Receiving Unit and downstream acute wards with 5 further rehabilitation wards and acute rehabilitation centres off-site within Stobhill Hospital and Lightburn Hospital. You will be an active member of the clinical team, contributing to multidisciplinary comprehensive geriatric assessment and polypharmacy review. You will act as a source of information and prescribing support, providing information on all aspects of drug use including patient safety and also contribute to the delivery of the pharmacy strategy. You will have the opportunity to participate in team meetings, research and quality improvement. This is an exciting time to be part of the Older Peoples Service team as management of frailty is a national priority and pharmacist involvement is recognised as essential to the team approach. This post is being funded as part of expanding the existing Frailty Service to meet the demands of a growing patient cohort due to the ageing population. The pharmacy team is also currently involved in providing heart failure with preserved ejection fraction clinics as part of a joint project and developing pharmacist stroke clinics. Glasgow Royal Infirmary is a busy teaching hospital situated in the North of Glasgow and has an excellent team of friendly pharmacy staff committed to modernisation of services and in particular ward based medicines management, pharmacist prescribing and e-health initiatives.You should have a Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should have completed or are currently undertaking the NES Foundation Level Training or equivalent.
