This is an exciting opportunity for a Nurse, AHP or Pharmacist to become part of the Home First Response Team as an Advanced Frailty Practitioner/ trainee within Renfrewshire HSCP.
    The post is full-time although part time options may be considered for a period of 1 year to provide resilience to the service expanding to cover 7 days. This is being offered as either fixed term or a secondment opportunity and as such applicants for secondment require agreement from their current line manager prior to application. This post is set within a multidisciplinary team working across acute and community supporting those with frailty to maximise their independence and wellbeing within their local communities, supporting early discharge and preventing avoidable hospital admissions. The successful applicant should have an interest in supporting the career progression of trainees as well as contributing to the inspiring departmental teaching program.This is a 10 session inpatient/outpatient post, with in-patients at Inverclyde Royal Hospital and outpatient services delivered from Crown House, Greenock. This post is ideal for a candidate who seeks variety, with a smaller community caseload to allow for the opportunity to provide ongoing care to the onsite HBCCC ward. The department has 3.0 wte consultant psychiatrists and 1 wte SAS doctor. GP, foundation and core trainees are attached on rotation. Each consultant manages their own caseload, with inpatients allocated on a rotational basis. There is well established local division group who meet regularly, and good working links with colleagues across sub-specialties.Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once CESR is awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis but applications will be considered from those wishing to work less than full-time. Up to 2 EPA’s may be available to undertake additional outpatient and/or procedure sessions or management activity.Additional Non DCC (up to 2 PA’s in total – Inclusive of 1 core SPA plus 1 additional non DCC can be negotiated and agreed between the successful candidate and Management depending on the time required to support professional activities and the needs of the service.All newly qualified Consultants are initially offered a minimum of 1 Core Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) which includes CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, revalidation, job planning and management meetings.
