    An expert at building trusting relationships, you’ll easily work with a panel of NFU Mutual Agents to offer advice on a range of NFU Mutual products across Life, Pensions and Investments to both new and existing customers.
    We are keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experience;
    • Fully FPC (or equivalent) qualified plus full CAS, full QCA Level 4 qualification (e.g. CII Diploma in Financial Planning)
    • Experience of delivering regulated financial advice to UK customers, face to face

    About the roleOur Regional Claims Inspector team have an excellent new opportunity for a Claims Inspector covering liability across Public, Employee and Motor claims areas.
    Reporting to the Regional Claims Inspector, you’ll play a crucial role in investigating loss or injury claims and negotiating liability in accordance with industry codes and NFU Mutual procedures. You’ll ensure efficient, fair, and appropriate outcomes for customers whilst controlling claims costs.
    In this role, you will investigate, negotiate, and report on the quantum, liability, and recommendations for the next steps of each claim, all while following NFU Mutual's policies and industry codes. Your ability to provide fair and appropriate recommendations for both customers and NFU Mutual will be a key focus.
    You will be responsible for managing and investigating claims within a geographical area.
    Building strong relationships will be essential in this role. You will collaborate with Policyholders, Claims teams, Agencies, and other interested parties, to ensure smooth and effective delivery of your objectives. Additionally, you may investigate potential breaches and complaints in accordance with policies and SLAs, ensuring fair outcomes and identifying opportunities for improvement.About youWe’re seeking a professional with experience investigating, or strong experience handling personal injury claims. The successful candidate ideally will have excellent knowledge of dealing with employers’ liability and public liability claims as well as motor claims.
    You will have a demonstrable track record of claims investigation work, with experience in assessing liability and gathering evidence to support case decisions. Efficient report writing skills are also desirable, as producing clear and concise documentation will be an important part of your work.
    Your communication skills will be superb with the ability to handle difficult conversations and present information efficiently to different audiences. You will be able to actively listen and mix your passion for delivering exceptional customer service with your claims specialist mindset to achieve fair and right outcomes for our customers.

    Technical expertise:

    Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FFA or FIA) and a current Chief Actuary Practising Certificate (or the skills and experience to obtain one).
    Substantial experience in General Insurance, with a strong track record in underwriting, pricing, and reserving.
    Deep understanding of UK regulatory requirements, Solvency II, and actuarial modelling techniques.
    Proven ability to analyse complex data, assess risk, and deliver robust financial reporting.
