This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual with excellent communication and organisation skills to take on this role in the Finance department. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Finance and working alongside a multi-disciplined team, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of the Finance Office and the financial systems. Duties are varied and include co-ordinating and administering the cash collection process. Preparing the daily banking and all associated recording (including paying-in slips and input journals) to support the bank reconciliation process. In addition to a good standard of general education you should have previous experience of working in a finance environment and of cash handling. You will have a confident manner with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, excellent MS Office Skills (Word and Excel) and will be able to work efficiently to tight deadlines. Duties and Responsibilities: • To be an active and contributing member of a busy and innovative Finance team • To reconcile cash, smartcards and pdq payments • To prepare the daily banking and all associated records • To ensure that cash is deposited promptly to ensuring that no unnecessary cash is held on site • To administer the petty cash process, monitoring cash floats and ensuring that all cash handling procedures are adhered to. Required Skills and Experience: • Has previous experience of working in a finance environment and of cash handling • Works with accuracy and pays attention to detail. • Has the ability to organise own workload and to work to tight deadlines • Has excellent communication skills What’s in it for you? We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual with relevant experience to teach on our exciting new Esports course, in our purpose built Esports hub, equipped with state-of-the-art gaming resources. You will support the ‘NSCG Dragons’ team in the British Esports Association events and Championships, so an enjoyment and experience of managing events and building teams is key. You will be teaching across a range of units ranging from nutrition, health and wellbeing; Esports Events, shout-casting and video production. Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring lecturer who has a proven record of innovation and a pro-active approach to delivery including to Level 2 and the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Esports. You will have also demonstrated an understanding and sensitivity towards the needs of your learners and use this to help them reach their true potential. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • To deliver high quality teaching on Esports across the full range of the department’s provision. This may involve remote teaching, learning and assessment, via appropriate platforms when required. • Play an active role in the marketing of the College and the Department through such activities as open days and through liaison with local employers and schools. • Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials Required Skills and Experience: • Holds a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline • Has an appropriate teaching qualification, support given with this if required • Ideally has relevant teaching experience at Esports Level 3 Extended Diploma within the FE sector • Is an effective communicator and has good organisational skills. As part of the Student Services Team, the Student Wellbeing Officers are responsible for the further development of a supportive culture for learners across the College ensuring that the wellbeing and safeguarding needs of all students are met. Liaising with other areas of the College including personal tutors as well as working directly with the learners, specific responsibilities are to identify those learners “at risk” of leaving or failing to achieve on their programmes of study and to implement strategies to minimise these risks. To be successful you will be enthusiastic, have relevant experience of working with young people and have a good understanding of their needs and difficulties. You will be self motivated and able to support, motivate and inspire reluctant learners. You will have a relevant qualification at level 3 or equivalent, good organisational and record keeping skills as well as being a good communicator. A flexible approach to working hours is required to accommodate the needs of learners.
