• Provide 1:1 and group support to primary-aged children with PMLD, assisting in their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Support students with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance where required.
• Help create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment, tailored to each student’s individual needs.
• Work alongside experienced staff to support therapy-based interventions and sensory activities. The Ideal Candidate:
• A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs and a desire to pursue a career in SEND education or care.
• Experience working with children or adults in a care, SEND, or support-based setting is desirable, but not essential.
• Strong communication skills, with an openness to learning new techniques and strategies for supporting children with PMLD.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if not already done.
• References from previous employers within the last 5 years will be required.
