PAYE: £22.20 per hourUmbrella: £29.16 per hourAbout the RoleRhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker (Grade 11) to join the 14+ Team on a temporary basis to provide maternity leave cover. This role offers the opportunity to support young people aged 14+ as they transition towards independence, education, training, and adulthood.
Team working days are based across Ty Catrin (Pontypridd) and Cynon PO (Trecynon), within a supportive and experienced service.
What You’ll DoDeliver high-quality, person-centred social work practice to young people aged 14+Complete statutory assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with legislation and local proceduresSupport care-experienced young people with pathway planning and preparation for independenceWork collaboratively with families, carers, education providers, and multi-agency partnersMaintain accurate and timely case records and contribute to reports as requiredPromote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for young peopleWhat We’re Looking ForA qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualificationRegistered with Social Care WalesExperience working with adolescents, care leavers, or 14+ services (desirable)Strong assessment, report-writing, and case management skillsAbility to work effectively within a multi-agency environmentCommitment to safeguarding and corporate parenting responsibilitiesEssential RequirementsEligibility to work in the UKEnhanced DBS checkSocial Care Wales registrationProof of qualificationsMinimum 2 years’ referencesProof of addressEmployment Reference Summary Form (RCT)CV and full work historyWhy Join Us?This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a dedicated 14+ Team, supporting young people at a crucial stage of their lives.
