The role involves supporting the Inpatient nurses to provide a high standard of nursing care for rehabilitation patients. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and will develop and undertake a range of delegated tasks independently. They will also assume responsibility for their workload ensuring that they adhere to North East London Foundation Trusts policies and Local policies. Main duties of the job You will administer holistic care to patients in the rehabilitation inpatient setting, identifying and reporting any changes in patient care needs to the nursing staff. The post holder will work as a member of the integrated health and social care team to ensure high quality nursing service provision. You will demonstrate flexibility, good communication skills, and ability to work as a team member as well as using your own initiative. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills. Post holders must have an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care / Care certificate and demonstrate a commitment to further learning and development. Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. High-Cost Area Supplement - London This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941). To offer support and to teach patients, relatives and other carer’s appropriate skills, imparting knowledge to promote positive health.
