    As a Technical Architect you will work alongside Solution Architects, professional services & delivery teams to
    realise proof of concepts, maintain highly functioning technical solutions and processes as well as design &
    deliver mission critical solutions into live operational service, providing support & consultancy to the engineering delivery teams throughout the project delivery lifecycle.

    Job activity & responsibilities:
    • Work alongside Solution Architects to realise proof of concept solutions.
    • Perform Product evaluations & report on suitability for live operational use.
    • Provide technical consultancy to product team relating to non-functional roadmap.
    • Review & feedback into the solution catalogue.
    • Complete architecture tasks for major change projects.
    • Assist the Project manager in project planning (tasks and effort).
    • Assist the Project manager in confirming project equipment orders.
    • Prepare for and complete Engineering milestone reviews.
    • Produce solution designs to NECSWS standards & format, according to customer requirements.
    • Presentation of designs and supporting rationale to internal and external audiences.
    • Maintain and update designs through project change process.
    • Triage and assign Engineering tasks (Using Azure DevOps work items process).
    • Complete the necessary Engineering milestone reviews and artifacts.
    • Support the project delivery team with technical issues.
    • Review Workplans for project implementation activities / approve through change process.
    • Perform customer solution technical migration planning.
    • Maintain technical documentation as required ( work instruction updates).
    • Ensure all project documentation is created, completed and stored appropriately in readiness for support
    handover.
    • The role holder would need to accept a car allowance for business travel.
    • The role can involve extensive customer contact on both a technical and non-technical level requiring a
    professional and adaptable approach to communication, interaction & service.
    • The role involves a high level of autonomous working which expects a high standard of personal time and
    task management.
    • Continually follow and adhere to NECSWS outlined process & procedures.
    • Complete all activities within set deadlines and report appropriately any difficulties to achieve delivery
    milestones.
    • Present a professional approach and attitude to all work undertaken.
    • Promote a clean working environment. Adhere to all Health and Safety practices, rules and regulations.QualificationsEssentially what we require from you:
    • Educated to HND/HNC level or relevant industry experience with a minimum of 2-years proven experience
    in a comparable role/s.
    • Proven experience in developing proof of concepts
    • An understanding of non- functional requirements and their impact on technical design
    • Experience learning and investigating new technologies
    • Proven experience within IT focused server & client-based environments
    • Experienced in requirements capture
    • Proven experienced in producing technical design documentation
    • Proven experienced in troubleshooting and problem solving
    • Proven experience administering and working with Microsoft Windows client & server architecture (windows
    10 /11, up to Server 2025), primarily using DELL hardware or similar.
    • A good understanding of Microsoft active directory / domain architecture
    • A good understanding and experience of using Microsoft Hyper-V or VmWare
    • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
    • Experience using design and documentation tools MS Visio, also using MS Applications including Excel,
    Word
    • A high standard of written communication
    • Experience using MS Business Applications including Excel, Word

    • Proven experience working to ITIL best practices.

    We are currently seeking a Business Consultant to join our established Public Safety Application Consultancy Team, with a dedicated focus on Control Room products and services for the UK Public sector, specifically policing and fire & rescue services. The Public Safety Application Consultancy team consists of experienced professionals with specialist knowledge across mission-critical systems and services, including command and control systems, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Integrated communications, data migration and system integration. This role will suit an individual with hands-on experience in control room operations, who understands the pressures, standards, and compliance obligations within emergency service environments. The successful candidate will bring subject matter expertise and industry insight to enhance the team’s capabilities, while actively contributing to the continued development of our consultancy offerings. The successful candidate will report directly to the Consultancy Team Leader and collaborate with colleagues across product management, project delivery, testing and support. Key Responsibilities Deliver high quality consultancy to UK Police and Fire Services customers, with a strong emphasis on NECSWS Control Room Products and Service Implementations. Act as a subject matter expert in the delivery and configuration of NECSWS Control Room products. Engage with customers to understand operational requirements, identify gaps, and recommend solutions that align with their requirements. Deliver consultancy and support in multiple formats including on-site, virtual, and through tailored documentation. Carry out presentations/demonstrations for delegates depending on facilities available, as and when required. Lead and contribute to the development of new consultancy offerings, for newly developed software/services. Make recommendations relating to best use of NECSWS software in line with the client’s business needs. Ensure all consultancy is delivered effectively and achieves positive customer feedback. Ensure customer satisfaction with the products and services, feeding back any issues into the consultancy group and other internal stakeholders. Progress and update knowledge of NECSWS products and services. Extend your own and other consultancy team members’ capability to deliver consultancy through internal training and mentoring. 
    Qualifications

    Essential Skills/Experience: Practical consultancy experience in UK Control Room environments, ideally within police or fire and rescue organisations or technology suppliers to those services. Proven expertise and up-to-date knowledge in one or more of the following business areas: Control Room Command and Control Systems Computer Aided Dispatch Systems (CAD) Integrated Communication Systems Incident & Case Management Systems Data Migration & Systems Integration Understanding of UK public safety operations, including legislative and compliance considerations. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both written and verbal), with experience delivering presentations to operational and technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of working independently and managing multiple engagements concurrently. Awareness of project delivery methodologies such as Prince2, Agile or equivalent. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the UK as required.

    Please note - this role can be Hybrid or Remote, subject to location.As the Security Manager, you will be part of an InfoSec team that manage the delivery of security & accreditation to the NEC business and our customers. Interacting with the wider InfoSec team as well as other departments across NEC, the Security Manager will support the InfoSec team to deliver its objectives.  Communication and collaboration are paramount to this role, the Security Manager will work with the architecture team, the wider technology teams and the Data Protection Officer to ensure that processes, procedures and policies are created, updated and adhered to as part of keeping us and our customers secure.  The Security Manager will produce the required security assurance documentation that is required for the accreditation of our customers, together with the Security Architects. An accreditation programme of work is in place within NEC which ensures that our accreditations are maintained, the role will contribute to this by supporting the arrangement of security testing, producing remediation plans and driving the remediation of identified vulnerabilities with the wider business support teams to improve the security posture of our environments.The Security Manager will also provide written contributions to the procurement bids and security questionnaires that are sent to us by our customers, describing the technical and procedural controls that we have in place to protect our network and our customers’ data, and how we meet the required industry standards.The Security Manager will support the wider InfoSec team in responding to security incidents, ensuring that they are closed and actioned in a swift manner and that lessons are learnt via detailed root cause analysis.  You will also be expected to issue security advice and guidance to the rest of the business, in line with our policies and procedures. You will support initiatives working with team members to develop content for use within the team and to be published to the wider business.The successful candidate will report to the Cyber Assurance Manager and join a diverse InfoSec team comprising of Security Analysts, Security Engineers, Security Managers and work closely with our Security Architects and Data Protection Officer. The role is primarily home based with an expectation that travel to NEC offices will be required on an ad-hoc basis. Responsibilities will include: Work within the InfoSec team to support the key activities: Provide consistent and qualified responses to tenders and assurance questionnaires from customersProduce and maintain security assurance documentation required for accreditationEnsure compliance with relevant security standards, service management procedures, regulations, and industry best practicesSchedule security testing and create remediation plans from the test reports- seeing remediation through to completion. Contribute to process documentation and policy review. Conduct security assessments and audits on people, process and technology within NEC. Assist in security incident management and vulnerability management. Pre-employment checks requiredBaseline Standard and Disclosure Scotland (BPSS).On employment the candidate must be able to achieve and maintain NPPV L3+SC clearance.
    Qualifications

    We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel/Contracts Manager, who will report to Head of Legal, to be based in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.     Qualifications
