We are looking for a keen and experienced service engineer, fitter, technician or mechanic to join our team. br br Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants. br br This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either an experienced powered access engineer OR maybe you are an experienced car mechanic, plant fitter or similar and want to do doing something a bit different. br br As a Workshop Service Engineer for Nationwide Platforms you will work within a busy depot to inspect, repair and maintain our machines ensuring that they are ready for use by our customers. br br Our machines are powered access machines such as booms and scissor lifts but dont worry full training will be given. br br So, providing you have a great attitude and are willing to learn plus have some mechanical/ electrical engineering experience behind you then this could be the role for you. br br In reward we can offer you a competitive salary, life assurance x2 contractual salary, Westfield health care plan, 25 days holiday and a pension. br br Working hours are Monday br - Friday 8am br - 5.30pm. br br Responsibilities include: br - Support the Senior Service Engineer in the effective running of the Depot workshop within the region. br br Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and at depot as required, and in conformance with manufacturers specification, company policy and the regulations affecting the use. br br Ensure that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine. br br Notify appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment. br br Repair machines at depot or on site as required to ensure conformance with manufactures specification and company policy. br br To complete planned maintenance activities including maintaining the appearance of the fleet to corporate standard. br br Handover machines to customers and familiarise customers with safe machine operation in accordance with company procedures. br br Act as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care and being polite at all times. br br Relay appropriate customer queries to depot staff as required. br br Accurately complete all relevant paperwork including engineers report, off hire, pre/delivery inspection and service sheets. br br Update system on machine status change i.e. br br PDI carried out, Machine under repair, 6 monthly statutory Inspection completed. br br About you: br - Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. br br Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding. br br Have a mature outlook and the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure. br br Understand the importance of excellent customer service. br br Part of the Loxam Group, Nationwide Platforms are the UKs leading specialist provider of Powered Access rental equipment, with the largest and broadest fleet, local depots spread across the country and our wealth of experience partnering with companies in a variety of sectors including Construction, Warehouse Distribution, Aviation, Facilities Management, Industrial Services, Telecoms and Media, our customers can depend on us to provide the right solution to support their every working at height need. br br At Nationwide Platforms, your safety is absolutely our priority. br br Our award winning BlueSky Solutions and Training division offer our customers access to the latest and safest ways to work and through long standing partnerships with our manufacturers, we will always provide equipment that will lead the way to a safer industry. br br Some of our innovations include the award-winning secondary guarding systems and Harness ON™, a range of pioneering Material Handling Attachments (MHAs), and the SkySentry™ control and monitoring system. br br At Nationwide Platforms, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. xjlbheb br br We recognise that a variety of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds is crucial to our success in the Powered Access industry. br br Our commitment is to ensure that every employee feels respected, valued, and supported in their work environment
