    Position Bar Staff (Known Internally as Food and Beverage Assistant)   Location: Crofton Halls, York Rise, Orpington BR6 8PR   Salary: £11.44 p.h. plus benefits   Job Type: Flexible (zero hour contract)   Closing date: 26th June 2024   Key Duties Greet and serve customers in a friendly manner on arrival. Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times and adhere to My Time’s Code of Conduct and standards. Follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Regulations when preparing, cooking and delivering food to customers. Adhere to portion control guidelines and presentation standards. Adhere to food and drink labelling guidance and stock rotation guidance. Supervise the front of house at functions, events and societies. Report any defective services, equipment and facilities to the manager. Help to conserve energy and minimise wastage. Wear correct clean uniform with name badge. Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required. This role includes lone working (and some team working) and may include key holding responsibilities. Ideally, we would prefer that you have already worked in a busy bar setting but full training can be provided. Our standards must be upheld at all times, maintaining the cleanliness and service level for our customers. The individual would be required to serve alcohol.     About the role To provide, manage and develop a high quality catering service. To maintain effective control of Food & Beverage services and budgets within the required margins. Comply with set menus which reflect Mytime’s standard of using fresh, high quality and seasonal products. Prepare, cook and present all meals attractively.  The majority of dishes will be made in-house. Supervise food delivery and presentation. Order all supplies cost-effectively using nominated and approved suppliers. Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen. Keep stock secure at all times, storing foodstuffs appropriately and maintain accurate records. Avoid unnecessary wastage and deterioration of foodstuffs. Manage catering staff to ensure a professional safe, clean and efficient kitchen operation.  Ensure that all staff are trained in food handling and preparation, the use of all equipment, personal hygiene, serving, food storage and in keeping the required Mytime records. Ensure equipment is used appropriately and for its designed use.  Report any equipment defects and withdraw from use immediately. Comply with Mytime policies in terms of Food Safety and Health & Safety, completing and storing all records as outlined in the Quality Management System. Maintain good working relationships with colleagues at all times. Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings as and when required.
