Who we're looking for: Our people are united by a common belief: that we can outperform in everything we do. What is the overall job? As an integral part of Multiplex Digital Construction Team, you will take a leading role in implementing the Multiplex Digital Standard throughout all phases of construction. You will work in partnership with the Head of Digital Construction and project leadership to continuously develop and improve the way we deliver construction projects using digital technology processes. You will be the focal point for all project specific BIM and Digital Construction deliverables through to handover of projects, including and client specific BIM requirements. The role will involve liaising with our internal teams, design consultants and subcontractors in order to plan and execute the project and deliver verifiable cost and time saving improvements. You will be required to undertake any other ad hoc duties as requested by the project team or Head of Digital Construction. Other key responsibilities and experience will include: * Respond to all BIM & Digital Construction related queries. * Assess Client Supply Chain and Capability in relation to BIM/Digital Construction. * Initial Setup and Management of the Tender Model within Common Data Environment (Revizto) * Responsible for the overall quality of all project BIM/Digital models and their use in design coordination * Ensure Consultant teams and Sub Contractor teams comply with the project BIM Execution Plan * Provide thorough analysis of design quality through model checking * Manage the close-out of all design issues arising from the model checking process What do I need to be successful in this role? The suitable candidate will have experience in the construction industry, with hands-on experience of Design, Design Management or BIM Management. * An excellent understanding of the design and construction process * A good understanding of construction contract implementation, primarily JCT. * Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specification and reports * Ability to integrate internal and external project team members on BIM matters * Strong project management skills * Client facing experience * Implementing BIM workflows * High level understanding of design, estimating, planning, and construction management processes A note on diversity: Diversity is about celebrating the ways we are all different and appreciating the unique qualities that every employee brings. We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an existing project in the City of London. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will liaise with the Package Manager and all members of the Package Team providing support for the commercial performance and administration of packages, whilst also supporting the Commercial Team in the administration of the project. Key responsibilities will include: * Administer commercial matters delegated to them for their packages, which could include: payments, revenue and cost recoveries, reporting requirements all in line with statutory and Multiplex timetables and policies. * Support Package Team to successfully progress and complete packages in line with revenue and programme requirements, and support delivery of package in line with profit expectations. * Support wider commercial team with regards to Client Change, and reporting. What do I need to be successful in this role? The suitable candidate will preferably hold or be progressing in a recognised industry qualification, although this is not essential. Highly motivated with strong communication and negotiation skills, you'll have knowledge of or the aptitude to learn tender processes, handling contracts and legal issues. Key knowledge areas include understanding how to price a Client Change, evaluating variations from sub-contractors, producing an Application for Payment . What is the overall job? The Legal Counsel will provide legal and strategic advice on construction projects in the UK. The Legal Counsel will assist in the tender review, negotiation and drafting of construction documents (including building contracts, subcontracts, consultant appointments, bonds and guarantees) ensuring consistency with commercial objectives, arrangements and risk profiles. Other key responsibilities will include: Providing commercial and focused solutions to legal issues Providing high quality legal service without recourse to external lawyers where appropriate Developing and providing training for non-legal personnel in the construction business to improve their understanding of legal issues on construction projects Advising on and managing legal disputes on construction projects. What do I need to be successful in this role? You'll need a Proven post qualification experience within a similar sized organisation, either working in house for a main contractor or for a private practice law firm in the construction sector Additional skills and experience would include: Familiar with JCT contracts, familiarity with other contract forms would also be beneficial Claims experience would be advantageous Familiarity with insurance related issues would also be beneficial.
