    Strategy
    Develop the existing marine & energy reinsurance book and look for growth and improvement opportunities, including the opportunity to work with other product lines to grow cross class opportunities within the wider MS Amlin team. Support the strategic direction of the portfolio and delivery of designated elements of the strategy and business plan. Demonstrate good client intimacy behaviours throughout the market. Contribute to the effective delivery of the business plan(s), ensuring alignment to strategy, client relationship and profitable growth. Work in partnership within the entity and other entities across the regions to leverage relationships and opportunities. Where appropriate participate in and contribute to client segmentation and product forum activities to ensure clarity and clear understanding of the approach to specific clients and markets.
    Underwriting
    Generate and manage business on a client relationship basis within agreed risk appetite. Understand and contribute to execution of the business plan Ensure client relationship is achieved through the efficient oversight of issues raised including liaison to ensure effective conclusion to complaints and claims. Undertake analysis of the location / market to identify new business opportunities, products and clients, ensuring a robust business case. Ensure risks are written within the agreed parameters – making sound long term decisions on risks that are written, with a focus on smart rationale underwriting.
    Underwriting Management
    Provide effective oversight and input into the underwriting performance. Reporting on an ad hoc basis regarding pipelines, new opportunities, and progress towards strategic goals. Liaise with and ensure regional compliance with underwriting management, taking corrective action as necessary and operating within agreed authorities Proactively participate in product forum meetings, as appropriate – challenging and responding to challenges regarding the Product performance.
    Compliance and Risk Management
    Conduct role in accordance with the Company’s Business Ethics policy and all regulated entities as appropriate. Manage the location/market so that is complies with relevant risk, regulatory and legal requirements and so that it complies with Group policies.

Developing enhancements to the data platform to meet the business needs. Produce high-quality documentation to enable on-going support and audits.     What you will need:
    For this particular role there are some important qualifications and experience we need you to have. These include:
    5 years of experience within Data Engineering and/or Data Architecture environments. Experience of working in an information and performance team within an asset management organisation Advanced experience using Microsoft .NET (ASP.NET Core), SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), web and database development, automation and reporting using Power BI and Excel including VBA.
