    The Role:
    The Senior Pre-Sales Consultant plays a critical role in supporting the sales team to win new business by providing technical expertise, delivering product demonstrations, and designing solutions that align with customer needs. Acting as a bridge between sales and product teams, this role ensures proposed solutions are technically viable and meet client requirements. Using a consultative approach, you will help clients connect the dots across Morningstar’s ecosystem to create meaningful value.
    Key Objectives:
    Understand Customer Needs: Assess the customer’s business goals, pain points, and challenges. Provide Technical Expertise: Demonstrate how Morningstar’s products and services address specific client needs. Tailor Solutions: Design and present solutions that align with requirements and leverage the Morningstar ecosystem. Build Trust and Credibility: Establish confidence in Morningstar’s ability to deliver impactful solutions. Support Sales Team: Offer technical support throughout all stages of the sales cycle.

    Responsibilities:
    Client Engagement: Lead strategic client engagements, working with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and challenges. Provide guidance to clients and internal teams. Product Development Feedback: Share insights with product teams based on client experiences and market trends to drive product enhancements. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with clients to document detailed implementation requirements and communicate effectively with internal teams. Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor junior consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical authority across a broad range of products and services in client and internal discussions. Sales Support: Partner with the sales team to develop and execute strategic plans. Participate in high-level client discussions to address complex technical and business challenges. Project Oversight: Ensure successful solution implementation, meeting timelines and exceeding client expectations. Strategic Planning: Contribute to consulting team strategies and initiatives, aligning services with overall company goals.

    Requirements

    The Managed Investment Data Team requires a Data Consultant to drive Morningstar data in the UK market. The employee will collaborate with all global and local teams. The Data Consultant is responsible for the relationships with asset managers and other actors of the industry, demonstrate our capabilities and quality, and return the voice of the local market to the global and central teams. The consultant is the main point of contact between our centralized data team and the asset managers.
