The Role
As a Country Director, you will oversee the leadership, strategy and operations of one of our country programmes, ensuring our aviation ministry is aligned with our Christian ethos.
Specifically, you will develop and implement a clear ministry impact plan, leading your team to deliver tangible benefits to isolated communities while fostering strong internal and external relationships to advance our mission.
You will also mentor and support staff to enable them to flourish professionally and spiritually, while raising up future leaders.
Additionally, you will:
- Evaluate the impact of our services and lead continuous improvement initiatives - Identify and implement capacity-building projects for national aviation professionals - Oversee resource management, budgeting, and planning processes
About You
To be considered as a Country Director, you will need:
- Experience of leading bible study, prayer and other Christian faith-based worship - Demonstrated leadership experience in an international, cross-cultural context - Experience managing service delivery and developing strategic partnerships - Experience with project management, evaluation and learning (PME&L), and strategic planning - Experience of working in a developing country - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills - The ability to adapt to challenging environments and lead through change - Fluency in spoken and written English - A university degree or equivalent qualification or experience

The Role
As a Mission Pilot, you will use your aviation expertise to provide vital access to healthcare, education, economic opportunities, and the Gospel to remote and isolated communities.
You will operate a variety of aircraft, ranging from single and multi-engine piston aircraft to turboprops and helicopters, navigating complex terrain and remote conditions with skill, care, and purpose.
Working closely with MAF staff, partners and local communities, you will help plan and carry out flights that deliver essential supplies and services.
Additionally, you will:
- Stay up to date with aviation regulations and our procedures - Mentor and train national pilots and mechanics to enhance local capacity and safety - Maintain aircraft in accordance with airworthiness and safety standards - Support logistics and resource delivery to hard-to-reach locations
About You
To be considered as a Mission Pilot, you will need:
- An ICAO Commercial Pilot Licence with an instrument rating - A Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate - Approximately 500 to 1000+ flight hours - IELTS English proficiency level 6 or equivalent
You will also need knowledge and operational proficiency in:
- Aircraft performance and loading - Aerodynamics - Aircraft systems - Weather - Aircraft instrumentation - Crew/Cockpit Resource Management - Pilot decision-making - Safety and quality systems
Additionally, engineering experience is highly desirable.
Due to the nature of our work, which involves regular overseas travel, these positions are open only to UK passport holders who are also UK residents. This is because we are only able to reliably secure the necessary visas for individuals with a UK passport.

Location:
This role can be based at the MAF UK Offices in Folkestone, Kent or optionally could be in the Oxford, Cambridge arc as we are launching a new hub in the Milton Keynes area, maximising our engagement with a thriving local aerospace and charity sector region. Up to two days a week in our Folkstone Office might be initially required. We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. This will be discussed at interview.

The Role
As a Process Efficiency Lead, you will help drive forward digital improvement initiatives across MAF UK to enhance systems, integration, and effectiveness organisation-wide.
Working closely with the IT Manager, youll support the development and integration of our digital services, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, as well as the secure operation and enhancement of our web services.
Youll also play a central role in adopting emerging technologies, especially in the use of AI and new applications, that support our mission and operational needs.
Additionally, you will:
- Train staff in the use of D365 and other business applications - Manage relationships with third-party IT service providers - Oversee web testing, API monitoring and CMS integration - Support data management and Power BI model updates - Provide first-line IT support and technical assistance for internal meetings
About You
To be considered as a Process Efficiency Lead, you will need:
- Experience using Microsoft applications, particularly Dynamics D365 and Power Platform - Experience with AI tools and their application in business processes - Experience managing IT services, including software and hardware, configuration, and networking - Experience with integrating third-party systems, including websites, into D365 - Experience using Cloud Flows and Business Process Flows - Experience working with and managing external IT providers - Proven ability to proactively move projects forward and engage stakeholders - To be educated to degree level in IT, business information systems, engineering, or a related field, or educated to A-level or equivalent with relevant experience
