    My client is revolutionising the way analog circuits are designed.     I’m looking for an analog-knowledgeable Senior Staff FAE (Field Applications Engineer) to join the global Field Sales team, this is an exciting position for an ambitious, enthusiastic engineer with knowledge of, and a passion for, analog circuit design. Demonstrating the ability to discuss, analyse and identify solutions with their customers. You will have the opportunity to travel widely in support of their innovative analog IP portfolio and unique business model. Being a self starter is critical for this role as well as being a good team player, preferably with a practical experience of the sales process and supporting customers’ technical requirements in the field. However, an analog engineer, or chip integration engineer with expertise in integrating analog IPs, would also find this a valuable pathway into a field position.

    The Role
    •Supporting sales with technical discovery calls / meetings matching customer needs with my client’s value propositions
    •Supporting customers with development and use of IP
    •Answering queries from prospects pre-sales
    •Assisting customers at shows or events
    •Acting as liaison between customer and engineering - Understanding customer requests & ideas; ensuring these are captured and fed back to engineering for consideration.
    •As a critical contributor in our sales team, you will work intimately with both the engineering and marketing teams, representing our technical capabilities and company ethos to the marketplace.

    The Requirements
    •Past experience specifying and designing analog integrated circuits for modern SoCs on CMOS processes
    •Past experience/Knowledge of analog system level design and trade-offs for SoCs
    •An understanding of top-down design methodologies and flows for analog and digital design
    •Ideal candidate would already have FAE experience in the analog domain.
    •Knowledge of commonly used tools within the industry (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor)
    •Must be comfortable dealing with customers and presenting technical subjects
    •Must have solid inter-personal and communication skills
    •Ideally have some experience with software or web eg setting up support tools or customer portals (Bugzilla, Jira)
    •Must be a “self-starter”with initiative and capable of managing their own work in their own time zone
    •Domestic and international travel will be required

    Even better if:
    •Macro-level experience: integration, verification and tape-out
    •Experience of presenting technical seminars & workshops
    •Packaging knowledge (CSP, BGA, etc.)
    •Knowledge of SoC design process
    •Experience/Knowledge of how analog circuits and macros are integrated into a complex SoC/ASIC.
    •Experience performing analog top-level tapeout is a plus.

    About the client and position:

    As an ASIC Layout Engineer, you would play an integral role of bringing the designs into silicon. The ideal layout engineer would have had previous professional experience in a high-volume production environment with a sound understanding of ASIC design and development flow.

    Responsibilities :
    -Layout of blocks within the ASIC while considering the block interfaces on the top level through good communication with layout lead and design engineer.
    -Running block and top-level layout checks and solve flagged errors.
    -Contribute to the layout process continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and participate in and/or proactively lead initiatives.
    -Floor planning of the ASIC.

    Requirements :
    -A Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Electronics Engineering or related subject.
    -Over 5 years of hands-on experience with analogue circuit layout in CMOS and Bi-CMOS technologies.
    -Be a team player with good interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and communication, and presentation skills in English.
    -Very good knowledge of Cadence tool workflow for schematic capture and layout XL.
    -Very good knowledge in running tool for checking DRC, LVS, ERC and antenna rules and ability to effectively debug any errors
    -Very good knowledge of good layout matching techniques such as common centroid or dummy usage
    -Very good understanding of electromigration and how to layout a block with high reliability
    -Appreciation and knowledge of parasitic associated with a layout.
