    WHAT YOU WILL DOIndependently conducts research in assigned area to develop specific company and stock recommendations for the portfolios managed by MFS.Using research sources such as company literature and financial statements, and various business publications, works independently to structure, develop and communicate investment recommendations.Attends conferences, travels to company facilities, and interviews corporate management at all levels. Acts as the in-house expert on designated area of coverage.Facilitate team decisions by making final buy and sell decisions, ensuring timely and orderly trade execution and overseeing sector construction. All ideas that enter the portfolio are driven by the rigorous, bottom-up analysis accomplished by the sector team analysts who are highly cognizant of the persisting sector fundamentals.Performs additional duties as directed.

Because what we do matters – to us as valued professionals and to the millions of people and institutions who rely on us to help them build more secure and prosperous futures.THE ROLEWe are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Senior Strategist to join our Strategy and Insights (SAIG) team with specific focus on MFS’s retail advisors and intermediaries outside of the United States who utilize the Meridian Luxembourg domiciled family of funds.This individual will play a crucial role in the development, delivery, and marketing of our investment thought leadership. This position requires a deep understanding of our clients, financial markets, investment strategies, and the regulatory environment within Europe and Latin America. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with MFS's Market Insights and Client Strategy, sales, marketing teams and other subject matter experts to establish and deploy the thought leadership strategy for our clients.Maintain deep client and investment market expertise by participating and presenting at client meetings and conferencesConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities aligned with MFS investment platformDirectly create client-facing materials and presentations.Provide training and support to sales teams and clientsThe primary focus will be to support both professional buyers and retail advisors within Spain, Italy and Germany with potential expansion to other European and South American markets over time.
    WHAT YOU WILL DOHelp to develop, implement and deliver a comprehensive ongoing research agenda program related to retail advisory and financial intermediary clients outside the US. This includes analysis of industry trends, staying abreast of client preferences, competitor intelligence and maintaining a deep understanding of the issues front of mind for retail advisors and intermediaries.Work closely with members of SAIG to collectively lead the development of MFS's thought leadership for this client base. Initially the focus and majority of client interaction is expected to be in Spain, Italy and Germany. Over time, the role will help shape our thought leadership and delivery for all retail advisory and financial intermediary clients in other European and Latin American countries.Will be expected to travel with distribution colleagues to present MFS's thought leadership to clients, consultants and prospects.Work closely with relationship managers, sales and colleagues in SAIG in leading client engagements as necessary.Develop internal training tools, videos, white papers and client discussion guides to enhance MFS's distribution expertise and dialog with clients on a wide range of relevant investment issues.Assist other teams within MFS and perform additional duties as requested.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORBachelor’s degree required with substantial relevant financial services experience of client advisory work, or asset management experience working with retail advisors and financial intermediaries.Fluency in at least one of Italian, German or Spanish is required.     Description THE ROLELeads the development and advancement of MFS’ enterprise risk framework by designing, executing and monitoring continuous improvement of two Enterprise Risk Programs: Global Enterprise Resilience and Corporate Insurance. Ensures these programs are effectively meeting the needs of the firm and adapting to evolving regulatory requirements.
    WHAT YOU WILL DOGlobal Enterprise Resilience Program responsibilities: Partners with the Sr. Manager – Vendor Management in the design and implementation of a global resilience framework, ensuring it meets business objectives, global standards and adapts to evolving regulatory requirements. Collaborates with senior business leaders across the organization to align resilience efforts. Continuously monitors the effectiveness of the operational resilience framework, adjusting based on emerging threats, business changes, and regulatory updates. Partners with the business continuity, IT, compliance, legal, and cybersecurity teams to ensure that all aspects of operational resilience are integrated and aligned with the overall corporate strategy. Stay abreast of developments in operational resilience, including new technologies, strategies, and global regulatory changes.Leads the global resilience testing program including the design, execution, and documentation of scenario tests to evaluate the effectiveness of existing operational resilience frameworks and identify areas for enhancement.Collaborates with various departments to create realistic and challenging scenarios that reflect potential operational disruptions, including technological or vendor failures, cyber-attacks, and natural disasters. Analyze the outcomes of scenario tests to assess the readiness of the organization to manage and recover from disruptive events effectively. Maintain a comprehensive database of testing scenarios, results, and follow-up actions to ensure accountability and continuous learning.Facilitates workshops and training sessions to enhance the organization’s understanding and execution of operational resilience practices.Corporate Insurance Program responsibilities:Manages MFS' insurance programs, including development, interpretation, administration, and maintaining related procedures.Conducts market research to stay informed; analyzes and suggests new insurance products and alternative risk financing programs; monitors trends and regulations.Works with MFS' insurance broker to set strategy and lead annual renewal discussions. Coordinates with ERM management and business teams to review underwriting needs and provide accurate information to brokers and carriers.Evaluates and recommends strategies to strengthen MFS's insurance risk profile through the development and adoption of updated policies, procedures, and operational practices, as well as enhancements to associated documentation. Identifies and implements improvements to facilitate the effective administration of all aspects of MFS's insurance programs.Serves as the primary contact for insurance matters, provides guidance across MFS, and manages all financial aspects of the insurance program.Collaborates with MFS' Legal Department with respect to insurance investigations, negotiations, settlement and recovery of claims.
