Help make the world more hospitable The hospitality industry is uniquely human, and it deserves technology that’s just as inspiring as the people behind it. At Mews, we’re transforming the industry with a platform that helps hotels run smarter, move faster and create better guest experiences. You’ll work with smart, curious people who care deeply about what they do. You’ll have autonomy and the trust to make good decisions and move quickly. And you’ll enjoy a real sense of purpose as you see the impact of what we’re building. If you’re motivated by ownership, curiosity and meaningful impact, and are driven to deliver consistent high performance, you’ll feel at home here.About the roleLet's get into the specifics. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:GTM at Mews runs on Salesforce, HubSpot, Nue, Databricks and Gong, and a lot of the work between those systems is still manual. This role owns the answer to a question that did not exist as a job a year ago: can we build this with AI instead of buying another tool. It is the first role of its kind at Mews, with no playbook to inherit and no predecessor to follow. You will sit close to GTM teams, understand how they actually work, and ship production automation that removes manual steps from the commercial stack. You report into ITS during the transition and will move under the GTM organisation once the role is established, working closely with GTM leadership from day one. This is IC5, the most senior individual contributor level at Mews, and it is a pure IC track with no path or expectation into people management. What you would doMeet with GTM teams to understand their processes firsthand, then design and ship automation that removes real manual workOwn delivery end to end: no PM, no handoff, you scope, build, and validate what you shipTravel to local offices when deeper embedding is needed, build alongside the team for a few days, and train them on what you shippedArchitect systems that integrate with Salesforce, HubSpot, Nue, Databricks and Gong, with security and reliability built in from the startWork as the connective layer between engineering rigor and commercial reality, translating GTM problems into production-grade AI systemsAI Fluency Level 4: this role is built around it. You will design and ship AI-powered systems that GTM teams depend on for real commercial outcomes, not internal prototypes. That means making engineering decisions about model choice, agent design, and RAG pipelines the same way you would about any other production system, and taking full ownership of what happens when it is live. For more information on AI fluency at Mews, please refer to AI Fluency at Mews: A Comprehensive Guide for Candidates on Confluence. What you would bring5 to 7+ years of engineering experience at Tech Lead, Staff, or Principal level, with a track record of owning a technical domain end to end at a company between 100 and 2,000 peopleThe last 6 to 12 months spent heavily on AI: building agents, shipping AI-built systems to production, with concrete proof of impact rather than demosGenuine fluency with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, RAG pipelines, and MCP integrations, as an active practitioner rather than an occasional userDeep engineering judgment: you can validate AI-generated code, reason about security and architecture, and are comfortable in any language rather than tied to one tool or platformAI Fluency Level 4 or the equivalent hands-on experience shipping AI-powered systems into productionNice to haveSome Salesforce or CRM engineering experience, beyond admin or low-code configurationFamiliarity with the GTM stack: HubSpot, Nue, Databricks, Gong, ClayComfort working directly with RevOps or sales ops stakeholders without needing a translatorSpain75.000—110.000 EURCzechia1 375 000 Kč—2 000 000 Kč CZKUK95,000—150,000 GBPNetherlands95.000—140.000 EURUnited States $120,000—$180,000 USDPay Transparency at MewsSalary ranges are provided in good faith and reflect current market conditions and internal pay structures. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:You'll own Mews' finance data world: the pipelines, platforms and practices that turn complex operational, RevOps, Financial Services, billing and core finance data into reliable, auditable insight teams can act on. As Mews' financial and regulatory reporting demands grow more complex, this role exists to turn a stretched, manual-heavy data backbone into a scalable, well-governed platform. It's a chance to build the finance data foundation for a fast-growing, increasingly regulated fintech business from a position of real technical and strategic ownership. You'll head up and grow the Finance & Regulatory Data team across Europe, and own the strategy, architecture and roadmap for Mews' finance and regulatory data platform.Finance and regulatory reporting standards are getting more demanding as Mews scales, and much of today's finance data work still leans on manual, spreadsheet-based processes. This role exists to replace that with a governed, auditable, automation-first platform. What you would doHead up and grow the Finance & Regulatory Data team, including data engineers and a data scientist, across EuropeOwn the strategy, architecture and roadmap for Mews' finance and regulatory data platformPrioritise and deliver data projects that serve Corporate Finance, FP&A, Financial Systems, FinTech and RevOpsRaise the bar on data quality, governance, lineage and auditability for all finance and regulatory dataPartner closely with finance and business stakeholders to translate needs into clear data solutions and narrativesReduce manual, spreadsheet-based processes through automation, advanced analytics and ML-powered insightsWhat you would bringHands-on data management experience with large-scale data infrastructure, Databricks is ideal, Snowflake or similar lakehouse platforms also work wellComfortable engaging with architecture and code, even without shipping every pipeline yourselfProven experience in finance-heavy, regulated or complex environments, SaaS with a strong finance lens is a strong plusStrong instincts for control, auditability, lineage and trust in numbers, understanding that finance data needs to be governed differentlyA track record of guiding small, senior teams through ambiguity and changeConfidence partnering with the CFO, senior finance stakeholders and senior tech stakeholders as a true peerA leadership style that combines high standards with empathy and clarity, direct but able to keep the team engaged and motivatedYou use AI as a real part of your workflow, not as a noveltyAI Fluency Level 4: you don't just use AI in your own work, you build AI-powered systems. Here that means owning production-grade AI/ML that predicts churn risk, revenue leakage and customer health, connecting what customers actually do to financial outcomes, and making sure those models are governed, reliable and embedded in how Finance, RevOps and Customer teams work rather than left as experiments. For more information on AI fluency at Mews, please refer to "AI Fluency at Mews: A Comprehensive Guide for Candidates" on Confluence.Nice to haveExperience building or maturing finance data platforms to serve growing regulatory, governance and audit demandsExposure to financial services, payments or other regulated industriesExperience linking operational data to financial outcomes, such as revenue models, churn prediction or leakage detectionSpain76.500—101.700 EURCzechia1 659 000 Kč—2 304 000 Kč CZKUK84,500—107,500 GBPPay Transparency at MewsSalary ranges are provided in good faith and reflect current market conditions and internal pay structures. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:Support at scale is a product problem, and Mews is hiring the person who will own it end to end. As Director of Product & Engineering, Support, you will build the AI-powered systems that determine how tens of thousands of hospitality operators get help, find answers, and never have a reason to need either. This is not a platform stewardship role. It is a proprietary build problem in a market where no one has solved it well yet.You will report to the Senior Director of Growth and hold full accountability for the strategy, execution, and culture of the Support tribe. Your scope covers the full AI-powered support and self-service layer (currently built alongside Ada, with internal agents already in development), the product knowledge infrastructure that keeps humans and AI systems accurate as Mews ships fast, and the feedback loop that turns contact volume into engineering prioritisation. This tribe is one of the most influential inputs to the Mews product roadmap. That influence is yours to build and defend. The boundary is deliberate: your tribe owns what the product does and whether the customer understands it. Everything beyond that (helping customers maximise value from what they have) sits with PLG & CS. Within your boundary, you make the build vs. buy calls, own the architecture, and ship. What you would doOwn the full AI-powered support and self-service platform: decide whether Mews extends Ada, migrates to a different platform, or doubles down on the internal agents already in development. Own the configuration, the systems layer, and the platform architecture regardless of which direction you take it. Treat contact rate, chatbot containment and quality, FCR, AHT, and wait time as product outcomes the platform is accountable for moving.Design, build, and ship AI-powered resolution and escalation systems: define where LLM-backed retrieval and conversational AI add genuine value in the support motion, where they create friction, and how to measure the difference. Own the evaluation frameworks and the architectural decisions that determine whether Mews builds a proprietary edge or configures toward commodity.Own product knowledge infrastructure: the canonical source of truth for how the product works, including help content, release notes, changelogs, and agent-facing knowledge. Build the systems that keep it accurate and discoverable as the product evolves.Build and operate the product feedback loop: cluster support tickets by root cause, weight each pattern by ARR exposure and resolution cost, and deliver that intelligence to R&D in a format that moves prioritisation decisions. Track whether the issues you surface get fixed. Measure the support volume reduction when they do.Track the support impact of every product launch and release, identify which releases generate disproportionate contact volume, and feed that analysis back to R&D and Product Marketing before the next launch cycle.AI Fluency Level 4: In this role, that means you have built AI-powered products or systems where the model is a core architectural component, not a feature layer. You understand LLM and RAG integration patterns well enough to make engineering decisions about them, you have shipped conversational AI or knowledge retrieval systems at scale, and you can evaluate what you have built rather than accepting output at face value. At Mews, you will own the architecture of our AI support stack and the build direction that decides whether it becomes a genuine competitive advantage. For more information on AI fluency at Mews, please refer to "AI Fluency at Mews: A Comprehensive Guide for Candidates" on Confluence. What you would bring10+ years in product and/or engineering roles, with at least 5 years at Director level or equivalent, leading cross-functional tribes in a B2B SaaS company at meaningful scale.Demonstrated experience owning AI-powered products or systems: LLM/RAG integration patterns, conversational AI evaluation frameworks, and platform architecture decisions, with shipped outcomes to point to.A strong point of view on AI in customer support: where it adds genuine value, where it creates friction, and how you measure the difference. Experience with Ada, Intercom, Zendesk, or similar platforms is a strong plus.A track record of making build vs. buy calls with real commercial and product rigour, and living with the consequences of those decisions.Experience leading Product Builders or similarly autonomous product-building roles, setting strategic context that enables fast, independent execution rather than managing through detailed specs.AI Fluency Level 4, or the hands-on engineering equivalent: you have built AI-powered systems, not just configured them.Nice to haveFamiliarity with hospitality or other operationally intensive SaaS verticals.Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and operational resilience as built-in delivery culture rather than bolted-on process.Prior experience working at the intersection of support operations and product engineering, where you have translated contact volume into roadmap prioritisation.Spain109.500—138.400 EURCzechia1 901 500 Kč—3 170 000 Kč CZKUK103,000—150,000 GBPIreland116.500—128.000 EURPay Transparency at MewsSalary ranges are provided in good faith and reflect current market conditions and internal pay structures. This role owns that layer: the design system, cross-tribe agents and skills, research engines, and the architectural standards that make coherent design possible at scale across a division moving fast in multiple directions simultaneously. Most Principal Designers sit inside a tribe and own a product surface. This one sits above all of them and owns the foundation they run on. The opportunity is to build something that outlasts any single project or initiative, at a point in the hospitality industry where the decisions made now genuinely matter. What you would doBuild and maintain the design foundation across the division: the design system, cross-tribe agents and skills, research and discovery engines, design architecture, guidelines, and standardsHold the multi-year view — write clearly about what design across the division will need that it doesn't yet have, and drive toward it with enough conviction to see it throughBuild AI-powered agents, skills, and tooling that encode design judgment into reusable systems rather than one-off artifacts tied to a single projectWork with Staff Designers so that tribe-level design substrates compose into a coherent whole rather than a collection of parallel effortsPartner with the VP on the most complex cross-tribe design problems — the ones that don't fit inside any single tribe's scopeContribute craft feedback and calibration input into Director and Staff Designer performance reviewsAI Fluency Level 4: In this role, that means you've shipped AI-powered systems, not just integrated AI into your own workflow. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:Long Stays is one of the fastest-growing segments in hospitality, and most of the software running it was built for something else entirely. This role exists to change that at Mews: owning the Long Stays product and engineering capability end-to-end, from strategy through to what ships, with direct accountability for the commercial outcomes that follow. You will be the single accountable owner for this segment. That means setting the product vision, making technical architecture calls, and building a small team of product builders who can operate with real autonomy. The scope is unusually broad by design: product leadership, engineering direction, and commercial outcomes sit in one seat. The person who does this well will be both credible in a technical architecture conversation and capable of making a clear-eyed business case for what to build next. What you would doOwn the Long Stays product vision, strategy and roadmap across hybrid hospitality operators, student accommodation, aparthotels, coliving and adjacent segments, with direct accountability for ARR growth and product north star metricsLead the full resident lifecycle as a product capability: booking and lead-to-lease, move-in and onboarding, billing and payments, recurring billing automation, deposit lifecycle, index-linked rent increases, and the tenant self-service portalSet technical direction for the tribe: architecture decisions, engineering standards, and system health, acting as the senior technical voice alongside the product voiceUse AI agents, internal skills and automation as the default delivery mechanism, and build the tribe's context repository so builders can pick up any problem without a human handoffDesign and embed AI-assisted workflows across the tribe's delivery cycle, actively reviewing and pressure-testing AI outputs rather than accepting them at face value, and documenting approaches the team can consistently followAI Fluency Level 3: In this role, that means you have looked at how a product and engineering team delivers and redesigned parts of it using AI. You have built workflows and tooling that others on the team follow, not just productivity shortcuts for yourself. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:Mews's Front of House engineering organisation is growing in scope and clarity of purpose, and this role directs a significant part of it. The problem is real and specific: how do you scale a guest experience platform to recognise and personalise across millions of interactions, while keeping delivery fast, systems healthy, and teams capable of moving with confidence? Mews serves thousands of properties globally, and the data and distribution advantages that come with that scale are genuinely uncommon — this is a chance to shape the engineering organisation that makes that advantage meaningful. You'll direct the engineering teams building guest recognition, personalised experiences, automation, role-aware workflows, and joined-up guest journeys — a cross-product area that touches every part of how guests and hotel staff experience Mews. You'll work closely with Product, Design, Data, and other engineering directors to translate a clear long-term strategy into execution, at a moment when Front of House has made quality, delivery rigour, and proactive operational health a deliberate priority. The problem is worth naming plainly. Scaling personalisation across millions of guest interactions — while keeping engineering teams sharp and systems healthy — requires someone who can set direction, develop managers, and hold a high bar without being the person writing the code. This is a role for someone who has built engineering organisations through scale and ambiguity before, and who can make the structural and cultural changes that let a complex engineering organisation move sustainably fast. What you would doDirect the engineering teams across guest recognition, personalised experiences, automation, and role-aware workflows, building clarity, accountability, and a high-performance culture through managers and senior engineers.Set engineering direction that balances speed, quality, and long-term scalability across a complex, cross-product area.Work across Product, Design, Data, and other engineering directors to turn strategy into execution.Raise the bar on engineering excellence, operational health, and delivery rigour — areas Front of House has made a clear priority.Drive effective cross-team work where ecosystem value flows across Front of House, Back of House, Platform, and Fintech.Coach engineering managers to make sound judgements, reduce unnecessary complexity, and build teams that move fast without collapsing under scale or operational pressure.Translate strategy into measurable outcomes, with clearer metrics, stronger prioritisation, and tighter links between engineering delivery and business impact.AI Fluency Level 4: In this role, that means you have changed how a whole engineering organisation works through AI — not just your own workflow or your immediate team's. You have helped set the standards, tooling, and expectations for how engineering teams use AI responsibly and effectively at scale. You know when AI output is good enough to act on, when it needs scrutiny, and you've built that judgement into how your teams operate — not just modelled it yourself. For more information on AI fluency at Mews, please refer to AI Fluency at Mews: A Comprehensive Guide for Candidates on Confluence. What you would bringSignificant experience directing engineering organisations in a modern B2B SaaS, platform, or product company.A track record of building through scale, ambiguity, and change — developing healthy organisations through managers and senior engineers.Strong technical judgement: the ability to guide architecture, quality, and execution at the right level of involvement without needing to be across every technical choice. The ability to work closely with Product and Design in a model where business context, user value, and engineering execution are tightly integrated.A bias for clarity, pragmatism, and high standards — with the willingness to make hard trade-offs and keep teams focused on what matters most.Nice to haveExperience in a hospitality, travel, or guest-facing product domain.Familiarity with CRM-adjacent systems, guest data platforms, or personalisation at scale.Czechia1 901 500 Kč—2 961 000 Kč CZKUK103,000—155,000 GBPGermany111.500—164.900 EURSweden1 030 500 kr—1 525 000 kr SEKUnited States $178,000—$272,000 USDIreland116.500—172.400 EURPay Transparency at MewsSalary ranges are provided in good faith and reflect current market conditions and internal pay structures. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:As Associate General Counsel, Product & Regulatory, you'll own how legal and regulatory judgement shows up inside Mews' product and fintech work, leading a specialist pod of counsel and paralegals and reporting to the Chief Legal Officer. Mews builds tightly integrated SaaS and fintech products, and the hard questions (money transmission, e-money, embedded finance, partner-bank and BaaS models, cross-border operating decisions) need someone who helps product teams work through them in practice, not from a distance. This is a chance to set the bar for how a scaling hospitality-fintech platform builds regulated products responsibly and at pace. You'll be embedded with Product and Engineering as a genuine product counsel and builder, surfacing and triaging legal and regulatory issues across the design and release lifecycle rather than reviewing work once it's done. You'll own the Product & Regulatory legal remit end to end: setting priorities and the quality bar, deciding what the pod handles directly, what gets standardised, and what gets escalated, and building and managing an appropriately sized team as the work grows. You'll act as the senior legal point person for product-related regulatory matters across the business.Mews operates in regulated environments, which means product decisions carry real legal and regulatory weight, from AML, BSA, KYC and KYB obligations through to supervisory expectations, audits and market entry. The teams building these products need legal support that moves at their pace and helps them make sound decisions early, with repeatable operating discipline around them. Getting this right is what lets Mews scale regulated and non-regulated products confidently. What you would doOwn the Product & Regulatory legal remit across Mews' SaaS and fintech environment, setting priorities, operating norms and the quality bar for legal support to Product and Engineering.Embed with Product and Engineering as a hands-on product counsel, surfacing legal, regulatory and commercial trade-offs early and resolving them pragmatically across the release lifecycle.Provide senior legal guidance on regulated product design, launch and scaling, including payments, embedded finance, money transmission, partner-bank and BaaS models, and cross-border propositions.Build and manage a small specialist pod of counsel and paralegals, coaching them into strong product partners and building the playbooks, templates and working norms that let teams move faster without adding risk.Use AI to reshape how legal support is delivered into product development, improving speed, quality and consistency across the pod.AI Fluency Level 3: in this role that means going beyond using AI for your own drafting and analysis. You'll redesign how the pod delivers legal support to product, using AI across intake, issue-spotting, comparison and first-draft playbooks; build approaches the rest of the team can follow, including prompt quality and review discipline; and apply strong legal judgement about when AI output is incomplete, unreliable or too risky to rely on without deeper review. For more information on AI fluency at Mews, please refer to "AI Fluency at Mews: A Comprehensive Guide for Candidates" on Confluence. What you would bringSignificant in-house legal experience in technology, SaaS or fintech, with strong evidence of working closely with product teams rather than reviewing their work after the fact.Strong fintech and regulatory exposure, ideally in payments, embedded finance or money transmission, including releasing regulated products and handling partner-bank or BaaS models.Working knowledge of financial-crime regulation (AML, BSA, KYC, KYB) applied to product and operational decisions, plus experience with supervisory expectations, audits, investigations or regulatory change.A hands-on builder mentality with clear examples of processes, guidance or tooling you've created, and sound commercial judgement that balances legal risk with business outcomes rather than defaulting to "no."People-leadership experience, ideally managing lawyers and/or paralegals, and AI Fluency Level 3 or the equivalent hands-on experience using AI in day-to-day legal work.Nice to haveExperience acting as true product counsel rather than purely commercial counsel.Experience in earlier-stage or scaling environments rather than highly siloed large-enterprise settings.Experience leading a regional or specialist legal team while staying close to product and business execution.Location: US, UK or EU consideredSalary banding for guidance only.UK105,000—190,000 GBPPay Transparency at MewsSalary ranges are provided in good faith and reflect current market conditions and internal pay structures.
