Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced Sonographer to fill a locum position in London.
Our client is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration. The position offers a pay rate of up to £45 per hour.
JOB SUMMARY:
* The post holder will be responsible for providing an ultrasound service to inpatients and outpatients and produce a written report to the referrer.
* The post holder will have prior experience of working or training as a sonographer in an NHS setting.
* The post holder will supervise and support students and junior staff.
* The post holder will be an integral part of the radiology department working closely with the Clinical Ultrasound Manager and Consultant Radiologists.
* The post holder will be competent in obstetric and gynaecological training with FMF accreditation.
As a sonographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to perform ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. You will review and interpret images, and communicate findings to other healthcare professionals, ensuring all imaging is performed in a safe and professional manner.
The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and hold a post-graduate certificate or diploma in medical or clinical ultrasound.
