    About the Role
    We are looking for a committed and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the launch and ongoing operation of our new Ofsted-registered Children’s Homes in Maidstone. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing organisation from the beginning, shaping high-quality residential care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
    The successful candidate will play a key role in securing Ofsted registration and will lead the homes to deliver outstanding care, support, and positive outcomes for children.

    Key Responsibilities
    ?Lead the registration process with Ofsted and ensure the homes are fully compliant with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
    ?Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the homes, creating a nurturing and safe environment for young people.
    ?Develop and maintain individualised care plans, ensuring that each child’s needs, rights, and dignity are prioritised.
    ?Oversee safeguarding procedures and ensure all staff are fully trained and compliant.
    ?Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a positive and supportive working culture.
    ?Build strong relationships with external stakeholders including local authorities, social workers, schools, and healthcare providers.
    ?Maintain robust systems for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality of care.
    ?Manage budgets, rotas, risk assessments, and operational policies to ensure the efficient running of the homes.
    ?Ensure the homes achieve and maintain a minimum Ofsted rating of “Good” or
    “Outstanding.”


    Qualifications & Experience  
    Essential:
    ?Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent).
    ?Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a residential childcare setting within the past 5 years.
    ?Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or management role within a children’s home.
    ?Sound knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
    ?Ability to be registered with Ofsted as a Registered Manager.
    Desirable:
    ?Proven experience in managing children's homes
