Grounds Team Member - We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Groundsman to maintain the outdoor areas of our property/facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that lawns, gardens, sports fields, and other outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Hours – Shift-based, including weekends and public holidays
Key Responsibilities:
Mow, trim, and edge lawns, gardens, and sports fields.
Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery.
Remove weeds, leaves, litter, and debris from grounds.
Operate and maintain landscaping and gardening equipment (lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides safely, following regulations.
Maintain pathways, fences, and outdoor structures.
Assist with drainage and irrigation systems.
Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Follow health and safety regulations when working with equipment or chemicals.
Key Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or gardening preferred.
Knowledge of plants, lawns, and horticultural practices.
Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely.
Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Attention to detail and pride in maintaining neat, orderly grounds.
Teamwork and good communication skills.
Desirable:
Outdoor spaces, including parks, gardens, sports fields, estates, or commercial properties.
May require weekend or flexible hours depending on the needs of the property.
