    Marlowe Fire & Securitys Project Engineers

    Take the lead in technically engineering, installing, and managing a diverse range of projectsboth large and smallacross the Marlowe portfolio. As a Project Engineer, youll play a pivotal role in planning and delivering projects and commissioning works, all while working closely with key clients to meet critical deadlines. Your focus will be on ensuring each project runs smoothly and profitably, with an unwavering commitment to health, safety, and quality in line with company standards.

    • Ensure project delivery aligns with the agreed programme timeline, proactively escalating any delays to the Project Manager.
    • Conduct technical reviews and process project orders through the Sales Order Processing system, forwarding requirements to the Purchasing Department.
    • Safeguard Marlowes commercial interests by maintaining clear and professional correspondence with customers regarding project delays and arising issues.
    • Plan, coordinate, and manage labour and material resources to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Allocate all necessary Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and engineering documentation to site teams, and verify that commissioning is completed in accordance with British Standards upon project completion.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams as required throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Attend site meetings and liaise with designers and customers to manage and implement design variations.
    • Manage assigned engineers and subcontractors, including oversight of timesheets, holiday schedules, and overall performance.
    • Monitor and report on the profitability of assigned projects, ensuring financial targets are met and reporting key metrics to the Project Manager.
    • Oversee on-site health and safety compliance, conducting regular audits and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
    • Ensure strict compliance with Marlowes Quality Management Systems, Processes, and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards.

    Your Role as a Fire & Security Service Engineer

    Our Engineers maintain Fire and Security systems in line with current standards and customer requirements. The successful Engineer will contribute to the team, strive to deliver world class customer service, and will be rewarded for doing so.

    • Maintain Fire & Security Systems in your assigned area.
    • Respond to service calls on all types of Fire and Security systems in line with current standards and customer requirements.
    • Plan and respond to routine and re-active call visits in your area.
    • Maintain effective communication with customers when planning site visits.
    • Maintain your stock levels with support from the Stores team.
    • Attend training sessions as and when required.
    • Attend Engineering team meetings as and when required.
    • Identify any personal training and development needs to help you provide the best possible customer service.

    We are seeking a skilled and F-Gas certified Gas Suppression Engineer to join our fire protection team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with gaseous fire suppression systems, includingFM-200, Novec, and/or Inert gas systems. This role involves the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of fixed suppression systems across a variety of sites and environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

    Your Role as Gas Suppression Engineer

    • Install, service, commission, and maintain gaseous fire suppression systems, specifically FM-200, Novec 1230, and Inert gas systems (e.g., IG-55, IG-541).
    • Conduct system testing, inspections, and leak detection in accordance with BS EN and ISO standards.
    • Work from technical drawings and design schematics to ensure precise installation and system functionality.
    • Provide timely and effective fault diagnosis and repairs.
    • Ensure all works are completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
    • Maintain accurate documentation, including service reports, risk assessments, and commissioning records.
    • Liaise professionally with clients on-site and provide technical advice as required.
    • Stay up to date with current regulations, products, and industry developments.
    • Participate in on-call rota or emergency response duties if required.
    Requirements

    For this opportunity, we are specifically looking for candidates who offer:

    • ValidF-Gas certification(Category 1 preferred).
    • Proven experience working withFM-200, Novec 1230, or Inert gas systems.
    • Full UK driving licence.
    • Strong understanding of BS 5306-4, BS EN 15004, and relevant fire protection regulations.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with integrated fire detection and control systems.
    • ECS/CSCS card or other site safety certifications.
