    Carry out testing of the tool units in accordance with agreed procedures.

    Assist with the building or repair of complete press assemblies when required.

    The Candidate

    Proven experience in toolmaking/precision machining.

    Able to read and work from technical drawings.

    Experienced using manual machines, grinders, drills, and general workshop machinery.

    Ideally hold an engineering qualification but not essential.

    Excellent problem-solving skills.

    Background in the electronics industry, ideally with experience supplying OEMs.

    Proven track record managing and developing production engineering teams.



    Desirable Technical Skills:

    Working knowledge of surface mount assembly processes.

    Understanding of product realisation processes and production methodologies such as One Piece Flow, Kanban, and batch manufacturing.

    Solid experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.

    Confident using key performance indicators to monitor results and implement changes—especially using clear, visible, shop-floor metrics

    Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems

    Skilled in managing departmental budgets, including labour, materials, maintenance, and capex

    Understanding of quality systems
