We are currently looking for an experienced Groundworker with Dumper and Roller experience to join a major project in Didcot, Oxford, starting at the beginning of February. This role is initially a 6-month contract, with the potential for the project to extend for up to 3 years due to different phases.If you have experience in all aspects of groundworks, along with operating a dumper and roller, and are looking for an exciting opportunity to join a long-term project, we'd love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Perform all aspects of groundworks, including excavation, drainage, kerbing, concreting, and paving.Operate dumper and roller machinery safely and effectively on site.Dig and level trenches, lay foundations, and ensure all groundwork is completed according to the project's specifications.Install and maintain drainage systems and utilities.Work closely with site managers and other trades to ensure work is carried out efficiently and on time.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Assist with site preparation and clean-up as needed.Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.Complete daily reports on progress and site issues.Key Requirements:Proven experience in all aspects of groundworks.Dumper and roller experience and valid tickets (essential).A valid CSCS card is required.Ability to operate various groundworks machinery and tools safely.Strong understanding of construction site practices, procedures, and regulations.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.A proactive and problem-solving attitude.Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.A valid driving license is an advantage.Benefits:Negotiable pay based on experience.Long-term opportunities with the project, potentially lasting up to 3 years.Stable employment with opportunities for career growth.Supportive and collaborative team environment.Training and development opportunities where applicable.
