A fantastic opportunity to join an exciting & challenging project at Hinkley Point C (HPC), where they are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low-carbon electricity for around six million homes. The Area Integration Engineer will develop a recommended sequence of installation of all scope across multiple contracts within their designated area from manufacturing completion through to site construction, erection and commissioning which supports schedule integration. This will involve conducting integrated and cross-cutting coordination reviews of construction preparation, looking at arrangements in detail from wider perspectives to provide oversight, ensuring pre-requisites, dependencies and constraints are managed in a balanced and integrated approach to ensure the activities on the site run safely and smoothly and in accordance with the project schedule. Primary objective will be to identify and eliminate issues to fully de-risk site activities. Ensuring that detailed plans are developed on a facility and/or area basis which integrate, co-ordinate and sequence work activities to achieve the optimum construction sequence, paying particular attention to several contractor interfaces.
Who you are
You will have a broad knowledge of engineering, procurement, design and construction activities and the integration of these activities. In addition, they will possess a good understanding of project planning processes and the ability to identify and resolve complex interfaces. This includes experience across different types of EPC contracts, specifically knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts. Be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong management and communication skills and commercial awareness are essential.
• Understanding and awareness of working in a highly regulated nuclear environment.
• Experienced in planning and constructing complex construction projects
• Delivery of work packs – readiness reviews – interface data sheets – lesson learned from previous Nuclear projects
• Looking ahead to identify risks and developing mitigation options in sufficient time so as not to impact construction site performance
• Management of strategic planning, developing construction sequences and recovery plans.
• Good working knowledge of commercial principles affecting construction matters
• Ability to produce informative, concise reports
• Motivational approach and the ability to energise team members by building a climate of trust and understanding
• Awareness of project change control and risk management processes
What you need
• Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent in Construction Management
• Extensive experience in delivering and the design of highly complex and large Nuclear construction projects
• In-depth knowledge and experience of programme progress and forecast position and planning
• Experience of understanding planning tools to include Navisworks or Synchro, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office
• Construction health and Safety qualification eg. IOSHH Managing Safely
• Strong communication skills in English required, knowledge of French can be an advantage

Key Responsibilities:
Lead financial control and reporting processes for costs below gross margin, collaborating with managers to prepare realistic budgets and forecasts.
Conduct thorough reviews of spending against budgets, providing analysis and support to enhance resource efficiency.
Provide advice and assist the development of reporting tracking tools, where required, and generate Cost reports on a regular basis
Play a pivotal role in the monthly calculation and posting of journals for accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and present financial management information, including monthly management accounts and performance reports.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong financial management expertise and the ability to provide insightful financial guidance.
Worked in a construction environment on large scale project

Main Scope:
• Execute the Care and Maintenance activities on stored and installed UK5211 assets
• Assist C&M Engineer in planning and coordinating the C&M activities on HPC site and at offsite stores as required
• Produce C&M report on executed work as per plan and procedures
• Responsible for organising C&M tool, equipment and consumables stocks. Ensure site stores are kept clean, tidy and organised
Secondary scopes:
• Provide assistance to site construction team at HPC when required
• Supervise additional labour resources as required on site C&M activities
Support the C&M Engineer in the execution of Care and Maintenance activities on stored and installed UK5211 assets according to developed C&M plans and procedures.
Responsible for producing detailed and accurate C&M reports based on executed work and submitting on a monthly basis.
Support the line management in developing and maintaining up-to-date site/assets management tools and execution documentation (C&M database, RAMS, plans, procedures…)
Assist C&M Engineer in coordinating and supervising site operations execution (including Care and Maintenance activities). Interface with site construction team on C&M matters and working rules.
Maintain the C&M tools and stores on site and at Avonmouth, supporting the C&M Engineer in maintaining accurate tool and parts stock levels. Ensure tools and stores are properly organised and kept clean and tidy.
Gain all required competence & H&S certificates and HPC site tickets. Act as Incident Controllers, Permit Holder for identified Site activities.
Provide inputs, as required, to Management to create a detailed erection/installation strategy and plan.
Liaise with offsite warehouses to plan monthly C&M visits for stored UK5211 assets.
Ensure that the Health and Safety plan is followed with respect to NNB operational requirements in safety standards and the master construction phase plan.
Act as a lead for the sub-contracted installation teams for execution of C&M activities.
Ensure proper quality control processes are followed as per the standards for Site Activities (procedure adherence, proper installation report such as FUD)
Provide regular update reports and inputs to Management for C&M progress and installation KPIs
Participate in Site weekly/daily meetings as needed
Promote and develop the site Nuclear Safety Culture.
Escalate Client complaints to the Management
Fulfil specified and implied occupational Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Companys Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.
