Magdalene provides specialist services to our clients in the fixed, mobile and utilities infrastructure networks in both public and private sectors of the market. Our services include acquisition, design, construct, rigging, first line maintenance, managed services, capital project delivery, complete network outsourcing, smart metering, and satellite solutions. Reporting into the National Grid Transition Lead, the initial focus will be on ensuring business reporting operational readiness for all aspects of the Managed Service across both internal and customer facing reports. Once the service is live, the post holder will assist in delivering operational excellence by providing trend analysis - identifying areas and opportunities for improvement ensuring actions are captured in the Service Improvement Plan and taken through to conclusion. Key Responsibilities Working with the Transition Workstream Leads and the customer, design and build the required reports in line with relevant service KPIs and customer governance frameworks. Working cross-functionally, document all new reporting requirements/ amendments ensure they are understood by all required stakeholders and implemented accordingly. Assist the Systems BA in capturing operational reporting requirements ensuring the reports delivered meet contractual requirements. Feed any identified improvement opportunities into the appropriate team. Engage with key stakeholders requiring reporting ensuring requirements are gathered, understood and catered for. Continued review and development of the reporting suite to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the business. Other duties as may be required to ensure ORT targets are met Key competencies / Experience Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to, and work closely with colleagues, clients and suppliers at all levels of the business hierarchy Highly numerate and literate, with excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of ITSM processes and systems Previous experience of Salesforce and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Business Objects Experience in reporting development and governance modelling Able to manage key business and IT stakeholders, providing support and direction where needed Confident in giving presentations and facilitating workshops to colleagues, clients and suppliers About The Company Why choose us? About The Role As a Telecoms Electrician you will be part of our diverse team who are responsible for the successful delivery of various projects and maintenance to telecoms networks across London and the South of England. The role involves installation & commissioning and is Primarily a Monday-Friday 0800-1600 basis. Applicants require to be flexible, assisting with overtime when required. This role is based in London and the South so you will need a full driving licence and may have to work away from home. Training is given to carry out your role and progression opportunities within our team are fully supported. What will you be doing? Rack, charger and telecoms equipment installation & commissioning to an excellent standard Wiring and connection of AC & DC power to telecoms equipment to required standards and regulations Testing & Certification 1st Line Support and troubleshooting of customer equipment Data room, data centre and substation works Routine maintenance inspections on spare fibres and battery chargers RAMS creation and work area/vehicle management Completion of site surveys to enable installation To pro-actively understand our customers needs and work to meet our contractual obligations What we need from you SPEN Authorisations would be highly desirable City and Guilds 2391 Inspect and Test 18th Edition Full Driving Licence Level 3 electrical installation Emergency first aid at wo Asbestos awareness Manual handling IOSH working safely Relevant telecoms qualifications Excellent organisation and communication skills A high focus on health and safety at work Experience in completion of handover documents Ability to be pro-active and resolve or escalate issues quickly Previous work as a field engineer/electrician in the telecoms sector Use of industry standard testers Previous work in data centres, telephone exchanges, fibre exchanges, PCPs, DSLAMs, customer HUB/outstation sites or substations Knowledge of IP networks, Cisco, Alcatel & Nokia devices Use of power tools, hand tools, ladders or any work at height Driving for work or managing a company vehicle Previous electrical or mechanical work A strong set of IT skills which would include the Microsoft Office products, basic DOS commands, mobile phone work apps and online time sheets An interest in new equipment & technology and keenness to learn about it Analytical skills and logical thinking to assist in fault diagnosis and resolution About The Company Why choose us?
