A Secondary School in Keynsham is looking for a Science Technician to join their Science Department.  Full Time ASAP£110 - £120KeynshamLab Experience  A welcoming school in Keynsham is looking for a Science Technician to join their Science department. Positive and productive relationships between staff and students are a characteristic of this school, ensuring behavioural policies are followed and making the school an encouraging learning environment. This school is much smaller than average in terms of student population with less than 500 students, and is therefore able to foster a ‘family’ feeling and atmosphere. Although the student population is small, the school is in no way restricted with size, it has great facilities and the capacity to hold up to a 1000 students therefore has room to grow.
In the Science Technician role you will be the go to person for making practical Science and Lab lessons run smoothly, guiding students through Scientific experiments, helping them with setting up experiments and ensuring everything is done in a safe manner. This is an ideal role for a Chemistry, Biology or Physics graduate looking to dip their toe into education. If you have experience tutoring young people science and know that you’ve got a knack for teaching, on top of Lab experience this is the absolute perfect fit for you.
Planning and marking is not a part of this role so you will be able to put all your attention on the hands-on (fun) part of Science. Ensuring the students handle equipment safely and confidently managing class behaviour will be necessary. Whether you are an experienced educator or a science specialist getting into their teaching career this is an exciting opportunity for you.
