What does a Lead Programme Delivery Worker - LGBTQIA+ do at Hillingdon? We are offering part time positions working 18 hours per week fixed term for 18 months within the Hillingdon Youth Offer. We are looking for individuals with demonstrable experience and competence in developing work with children and young people within formal or informal education or community settings. We are seeking to recruit individuals with an excellent understanding of issues that children and young people face today and experience of leading a team. You will have a creative and dynamic approach and be able to engage with hard to reach and other vulnerable groups. There is no specific qualification required for this role, and training will be part of the induction. A willingness to learn and a commitment to supporting children and young people is a must.


    As a Lead Programme Delivery Worker, you'll work within a small team of specialist practitioners delivering targeted services and have the opportunity to deliver an effective education and prevention programme offer, including workshops, assemblies, community events for children and young people, parents and professionals
    Within your role you will plan and deliver group sessions targeted at adolescents who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community as well as facilitating 1-1 sessions for children and young people accessing the group. You will be working in partnership with other services, stakeholders and organizations to support the delivery and expansion of our LGBTQIA+ project

What does a Sessional Tutor do at Hillingdon? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Learn Hillingdon Adult Community Education in our progression from a Good to Outstanding Ofsted rating. The hourly rate for this post is £28.93 (unqualified rate) - £32.08 per hour (qualified rate). Our Adult Learning Service is keen to recruit enthusiastic Sessional Tutors to deliver high quality adult learning. Currently we are recruiting Tutors with experience of delivering courses on the following subjects: Performing Arts for Adults with Learning Difficulties Disabilities ESOL Maths English Gardening Art and Craft Textiles IT - Cybersecurity and Website Design Childcare Counselling Spanish British Sign Language Cookery Parental Engagement  Soft Furnishings If you are keen to be considered for this role, please apply above and attach a covering note with responses to the following three questions: 1)What subject qualification(s) and/or experience do you have that you could bring to this post? 2)Demonstrate how you remain motivated, even when under pressure and still complete the tasks that you were set. 3)Describe what actions you have taken to improve your performance. About you You will need to hold a subject specific qualification in your chosen field and an appropriate teaching qualification or be prepared to achieve one within your first year of service. Please note if you are applying for; Maths, English or ESOL tutor it is a requirement you hold a teaching qualification. You should also be able to travel to any of our 3 centres within the borough. We are looking for individuals that have a sound knowledge base within their chosen specialist area and are able to demonstrate an ability to work well with people, whilst being able to methodically conduct, organise and deliver adult learning sessions.
