Lockton is recruiting a Senior Client Account Executive / Broker to join our Global Financial Institutions (GFI) Retail team in London. This is a senior role with line management responsibility, focused on delivering market-leading service to Lockton’s Retail FI clients while supporting growth, retention and talent development within the team. This role will join the GFI leadership team. Role PurposeTo provide strategic account management and broking services to Lockton’s GFI Retail clients, including programme placement for complex risks. The role will promote and oversee the delivery of excellent client service, retention and growth, while contributing to new business development, RFP responses and the onboarding of new clients. The position also includes leadership responsibility, mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring compliance with Lockton procedures and client KPIs. Key Responsibilities:Line management of team membersMentor and develop junior colleagues, acting as a role model and supporting future leadership talent within GFIAct as lead broker and account executive for large, complex Financial Institution clients, delivering market-leading service standardsProvide FI broking and account handling for significant regional and London-based clientsRepresent Lockton GFI in new business pitches and RFPs; lead onboarding of new clientsPartner with Producers and GFI Retail leadership to achieve growth targets and maintain high client retentionIdentify and deliver cross-selling opportunities, collaborating with specialist teams (e.g. Cyber, General Insurance)Support the development of insurer products, facilities and binder solutions to improve efficiency for smaller businessAdvise clients on emerging and changing risk exposures and prepare them for optimal renewal outcomesDevelop and execute placement strategies in line with client needs and Lockton compliance requirementsProduce renewal reports and attend client review, debrief and feedback meetingsEnsure prompt, accurate resolution of client and market queriesLiaise with insurers and clients to support Strategic Insurer Partners, Producers and Account ExecutivesConduct SPOE checks on quotes, slips and invoices prior to client releaseEnsure timely and accurate provision of information to Accounts, Audit and Compliance teams in line with KPIsAbout You:Deep, market-leading knowledge of Financial Institutions insurance, gained from a broking or underwriting backgroundSignificant experience in Financial Institutions insurance, operating at senior levelProven ability to design and execute effective placement strategiesStrong understanding of the full broking lifecycle and regulatory environmentEstablished relationships with key GFI marketsStrong relationship-building skills with clients, insurers and colleagues, and excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong time management, prioritisation and attention to detailAnalytical and problem-solving capability, including research and investigationCommitment to continuous professional developmentDemonstrated ability to identify and convert business development opportunitiesProfessional presence and credibility when representing Lockton at senior levels
