    Details Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Liverpool. You must also hold a full manual driving licence due to the service's current requirements. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life. Our service is home to an individual who requires support with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and communication difficulties. We need Support Workers to provide the physical and emotional support that our people we support need every day. This includes assistance with personal care, medication, finances, activities and everything else to help them achieve their goals and aspirations. Qualities and Skills Required: Relationship Building: Essential for gaining the trust of the people we support, establishing open communication, and building lasting relationships. Patience and Understanding: Important for navigating challenging situations effectively. Conflict-Resolution Techniques: Necessary for managing and resolving conflicts in a constructive manner. Must hold a full manual driving licence. What we're looking for: A genuine passion for supporting others. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. People who enjoy interactivity with the people we support. Some activities include: Swimming, Disco, Bingo, Puzzles and Games. Our support workers must be able to cook to a basic standard as we help with meal preparation for our residents. Must be comfortable with 1on1 support Closing date 19/02/2026hours All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
