This role is based on a customer site (60%), with flexibility to work remotely (40%) when feasible and support other sites when applicable.
The role is responsible for the effective management of the licences, software compliance and support and maintenance agreements within the programme scope.
This role is responsible for the management of all licences and associated support within scope of the programmes delivered service. This includes the management of licence allocation, acquisition of new licences, confirmation of required support, and renewal of existing licences and maintenance agreements across the Enterprise including remote sites.
The successful candidate will report directly to the ILS/ITAM Manager and will play a key role in maintaining software compliance and optimising licence usage across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversea and manage the process of obtaining and renewing licences.
Negotiate and manage licencing contracts including, but not limited to, operating as the main point of contact for all license agreement negotiations and amendment of existing agreements. Ensure End User Licence Agreement (EULA) reviews are completed.
Work with the customer Software Acquisition Management team and the customer Software Licence Manager to ensure awareness of MOD ELA availability and ensure (where applicable) clients ELA are utilised to their fullest.
Gain customer acceptance of risk identified, waivers and maintain records accordingly.
Process owner for the acquisition of new software.
Process owner for the renewal of software products within scope of the programme.
Ensure renewals engineer has tools required to perform their function in an efficient and timely manner.
Process owner for licencing including compliance, monitoring and recording of all licences deployed and reconciling with licence entitlement and taking the necessary action to maintain compliance.
Monitor and manage the renewals process to ensure that there are no gaps in licencing or maintenance agreement coverage.
Integrate technical and business knowledge to aid focus on compliance with all senior stakeholders and support teams.
Monitor the actual cost of renewals and maintain the forecast for future renewals costs. Submit a revised forecast to the customer via contracts each month.
Work closely with different departments to coordinate licensing needs.
Monitor and control licence types for deployed software ensuring correct allocation and utilisation.
Process owner for the renewal of Hardware Support agreements. Work with the Programme supplier manager for End Of Service Life contract to ensure items are added and removed appropriately and amendments to costs / invoicing are tracked.
Ensure maintenance of the CMDB for all software and support agreements, create records assign licences to CIs to allow monitoring and compliance.
Ensure that maintenance support contracts are recorded with in the CMDB and assign the assets to CIs to ensure engineers have the support details to hand.
Respond to all licencing and renewals RFIs in accordance with the SLA.
Monitor and maintain customer portals for hardware and software acquisition, work with the SACM to ensure the DML is up-to-date and latest software packages and licences are available for distribution.
Report performance against KPIs to appropriate forums.
Inform the Obsolescence Management process when items are identified as EOS/EOL and if the licence model changes that requires an upgrade.
Perform audit of all licence and support records to confirm accuracy.

We are looking for a security-cleared Environments Manager to support the development, transition & in-service running (inc capability upgrades) of an IT application and infrastructure solution providing support to a critical operational end user. Environment management contributes to improving the overall quality of software development and support through the lifecycle. It encompasses a set of good practices to provide an effective, end-to-end platform management service for development, test, and production teams.
As the Environments Manager, you will work alongside our DevOps, Infrastructure and Network Teams and Solution Architects. You will help to provide end-to-end DevOps managed environments for internal teams and strategic customers, supporting business outcomes for critical national infrastructure. The successful candidate will need to be eligible for UK security clearance.
You will focus on the use of modern technologies and practices to provide a robust set of environments for the solution.
Your role and responsibilities;
The management and scheduling of all solution environments Development, Test, Staging, Pre-Prod & Production across multiple security level environments
Maintaining consistency across all environments used, with any variations clearly documented with the implications for testing understood and communicated.
Lead on all environment management aspects including developing standard ways of working and providing your technical expertise to Leidos programme teams
Maintain version control of all components (server, workstation configurations etc.)
Conduct technical check of applications to ensure the environment stability after every deployment, and update all design and architecture documentation appropriately.
Automate deployment activities (server, application etc.) to reduce the risk of errors that are inherent in manual activities
Identify and document all application dependencies, and ensuring that interfaces are either replicated or stubs are provided to support integration testing
Track changes to the environments and utilizing a robust dedicated change management process for the test environments that links to the production change processes.
WHO DO WE NEED?
We are looking for someone with excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills who has:
Experience of managing sizeable application support contracts
Experience working with teams across the SDLC - Development, Test, etc.
Worked within ITIL based framework, with experience of:
Environments Management
Change Management
Release Management
Experience of managing and monitoring services against agreed SLAs/KPIs
Experience in reporting and analysing data to see trends
Experience of asset and configuration management.
Experience of availability and capacity management.
Knowledge of Atlassian toolchains
Knowledge of ServiceNow is an advantage
Experience with log analytical systems is an advantage
Experience of working with Agile and Scaled Agile deliveries
