Environment management contributes to improving the overall quality of software development and support through the lifecycle. It encompasses a set of good practices to provide an effective, end-to-end platform management service for development, test, and production teams.As the Environments Manager, you will work alongside our DevOps, Infrastructure and Network Teams and Solution Architects. You will help to provide end-to-end DevOps managed environments for internal teams and strategic customers, supporting business outcomes for critical national infrastructure. The successful candidate will need to be eligible for UK security clearance.You will focus on the use of modern technologies and practices to provide a robust set of environments for the solution.Your role and responsibilities;The management and scheduling of all solution environments – Development, Test, Staging, Pre-Prod & Production across multiple security level environmentsMaintaining consistency across all environments used, with any variations clearly documented with the implications for testing understood and communicated.Lead on all environment management aspects including developing standard ways of working and providing your technical expertise to Leidos programme teamsMaintain version control of all components (server, workstation configurations etc.)Conduct technical check of applications to ensure the environment stability after every deployment, and update all design and architecture documentation appropriately.Automate deployment activities (server, application etc.) to reduce the risk of errors that are inherent in manual activitiesIdentify and document all application dependencies, and ensuring that interfaces are either replicated or stubs are provided to support integration testingTrack changes to the environments and utilizing a robust dedicated change management process for the test environments that links to the production change processes.WHO DO WE NEED?We are looking for someone with excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills who has:Experience of managing sizeable application support contractsExperience working with teams across the SDLC - Development, Test, etc.Worked within ITIL based framework, with experience of:Environments ManagementChange ManagementRelease ManagementExperience of managing and monitoring services against agreed SLAs/KPIsExperience in reporting and analysing data to see trendsExperience of asset and configuration management.Experience of availability and capacity management.Knowledge of Atlassian toolchainsKnowledge of ServiceNow is an advantageExperience with log analytical systems is an advantageExperience of working with Agile and Scaled Agile deliveriesAWS Certification (Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher) highly desirable but not essential.What we do for you:

    Reporting to the Field Services Area Manger, you will be supporting on site installation, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance of airport security systems at our highly valued client site.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Under limited supervision and usually acting independently, performs a wide variety of technical support activities by installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and servicing x-ray and CT based security systems at customer sites. Typically handles complex products and/or problems and may provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians. Helps develop and maintain relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential clients, and major UK international & regional airports, etc. Helps ensure unparalleled client satisfaction through the delivery and maintenance of best-in-class security and detection products and related professional services. The duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Coordinates the planning and delivery of preventative maintenance (PM) services on various types of security search equipment.
    • Coordinates and provides support to the customer by installing, calibrating, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing of X-Ray and CT based security systems of a highly complex nature.
    • Prepares and conducts formal and informal training courses for customer personnel in the operation and maintenance of systems and equipment. Provides on-site technical and operator training.
    • Works with customer via phone or person to identify operations/technical problems. Responds to customer complaints and questions until resolved.
    • Troubleshoots and diagnoses system/equipment interface problems during installations.
    • Acquaints customer personnel with the full capabilities of the equipment and/or systems for the immediate operational requirements. Advises customer of all equipment changes and authorized modifications.
    • Is proficient at Salesforce or similar CRM software and completes admin to required deadlines.Education and/or Experience:• Graduate of technical school / or military training in electronics engineering technology would be highly desirable.
    • Solid experience of working successfully within a sited or field service environment within a directly applicable industry.
    • Strong technical knowledge of x-ray, CT technologies, and company’s products and equipment. Other Skills and Abilities: • Excellent customer interface, presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written are required. Knowledge of complex digital and analog circuitry is required, Linux a plus. Knowledge of complex mechanical systems, familiarity with test equipment (DVM and oscilloscope) and experience with High Voltage and X-ray producing equipment preferred. Team player with ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight. Ability to perform multiple activities simultaneously and independently.
