    DescriptionThe Flight Operations/Ramp Assistant is a hybrid role established to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the daily flight planning programme for all aircraft and simulator sorties and maintain a smooth operation by ensuring our aircraft are flight-ready at Leading Edge Aviation.  Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and working closely with the Head of Training (HoT) and the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) the Assistant will provide a reliable presence in the Operations area and on the Ramp, working closely with student pilots who will require experienced guidance and assistance as they look to undertake their flying training.  This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, based at our Oxford Campus.   Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and we therefore reserve the right to close this position early. This role is available on an immediate basis, candidates with iminent availability are preferred. 
    Role DutiesOperations To assist the Operations Manager in scheduling all aircraft and simulator sorties and briefing sessions on the Flying Programme, using Private Radar in accordance with Leading Edge Aviation, EASA training requirements and Instructor availability.  Keeping Flight Logger up to date with actual event timings.  To process Instructor duty and rest records in accordance the Operations Manual.   To ensure adherence of the Flying Programme to relevant regulations and operational procedures.   To maintain a continuous and accurate picture of the position and technical status of all aircraft.  To maintain up-to-date awareness of the actual and forecast weather situation enroute and the serviceability of essential enroute and terminal facilities affecting the operated route.  To assist in the completion and submission of Flight Plans to achieve the flying programme.  To ensure adherence to relevant regulations and procedures, including flight time limitations, in coordination with Operations Manager.  To initiate remedial actions in the case of potential or actual disruptions in order to keep or bring back the fleet to the initial schedule programme.  To take the lead in case of flight disruption.  To initiate the emergency procedure, in case of accidents or incidents involving our aircraft or personnel.  To liaise with Airport operations to ensure the efficient delivery of the planned Flying Programme including:  Organising refuelling of the aircraft and file fuel receipts.  Managing the aircraft movements at the home airport, ensuring the required aircraft are out and ready to fly for the first daily sortie and Hangered at the end of the day.  Other activities as required.  To liaise with ATC as required to achieve the flying programme and update Private Radar.  Manage the maintenance schedule for each aircraft:  Coordinating planned maintenance activities such as scheduled servicing.  Liaising with the appropriate maintenance teams to deal with ad hoc issues.  Demonstrate and uphold the company’s core values in all actions, decisions, and interactions.  Ramp Ensure all aircraft are appropriately refuelled and oil levels at the required level  Ensure all aircraft are cleaned and fit for flight, both internally and externally   Move aircraft in and out hangar / around the apron as required   Undertake Aircraft and Hangar cleaning as required   Undertake daily, weekly and monthly vehicle and ground equipment checks  Escort visitor’s airside as required.  OUR CULTURE At Leading Edge Aviation, our Vision, Mission and Values guide everything that we do.     DescriptionEfficient and effective planning and administration is key to the success of our Academy. The Training Administrator is responsible for general Academy administration, with a particular focus on the efficient running of the Training team. Working closely with the Training Management team, you will focus on collecting and managing data, monitoring student progress, ensuring compliance and provide regular updates and reports to the Training Delivery Manager, Head of Training, Chief Flight Instructor and Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor. Attention to detail, accuracy, initiative and excellent communication skills are essential qualities to enable success in this role, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, based at our Oxford Campus.

    Key Responsibilities Assist with the tracking of student progress throughout their training by maintaining excellent communication with all relevant departments.   Manage and submit license applications for students completing their training, ensuring full compliance with aviation authority regulations.   Coordinate the creation, compilation, and timely delivery of End of Course Reports for graduating students.  Maintain student test results and statistics into the Leading Edge Aviation training records system  Compile reliable training metrics on behalf of the Head of Training, ensuring processes are accurate and efficient to enable delivery of timely and high-quality data  Create, maintain and archive student files in line with departmental, regulatory and GDPR requirements  Provide the Training Review information to the Training Management team and Heads of Department and ensure the distribution of appropriate documentation within the business.  Coordinate flight training inductions for new students arriving at our Oxford flight training base.  Assist students as required with regular training logbook checks, ensuring flights are logged in line with the course syllabus.   The planning, organisation and booking of external students coming for training and revalidations.  Provide ad-hoc administrative support, and other similar tasks, required by the Training Management team, and the Ground/Flight Instructor workforce.  Assist the Customer Experience Manager and Team with administrative duties which relate to the in-house customers, such as arrival and departure arrangements, including file creation and shut down, in line with governing body regulations.  Demonstrate and uphold the company’s core values in all actions, decisions, and interactions.  OUR CULTURE At Leading Edge Aviation, our Vision, Mission and Values guide everything that we do. You will be delivering the highest standard of flight and simulator training to our growing number of students in an industry leading training academy. Multi Engine Fight Instructors deliver VFR or IFR training (depending on experience) to the highest quality working on our Diamond DA42 aircraft and state of the art simulators. Our courses are both integrated and modular and cover UKCAA and EASA licences.     Role Duties Flight Training  Deliver high quality, engaging standardised flight training   Ensure that course standards, training requirements and objectives are taught properly and in a timely manner, following direction from the Head of Training (HoT) and Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) and their deputies  Manage student progress appropriately and to report any deficiencies to the CFI;  Complete all non-flying assignments, including Duty Instructor and classroom briefings, and to effectively manage students through the course, reporting any issues in a timely manner;  Identify any improvements to the practical instruction and/or Training Standards, actively working with those responsible to continuously improve safety and quality levels within the Academy;  Monitor the technical and internal status and cleanliness of all the aircraft/simulators used for training, reporting discrepancies and verifying that all equipment is airworthy and suitable for training or operating;  Comply fully with the orders given in the Company FCOM and to ensure that their students understand and comply with those SOPs;  Use your experience to support and mentor your peers  Complete all other reasonable duties as directed by the HoT and CFI.   Flight Safety  Promote safe behaviour (amongst students, peers and staff) at all times on the ground and in the air, in full compliance of the Leading Edge Aviation’s Safety Policies;  Ensure all students throughout the academy are taught and maintain the principles and practices of Flight Safety;  Actively participate in the company Safety Management System to include the filing of Air Safety Reports (ASRs), attend safety briefings, and to be vigilant for any perceived unsafe behaviour or actions;  Adhere at all times to any other safety standards that, from time to time, may be issued, whether at the home or at third-party airports.   Administration  Accurately maintain your own logbook as per Company/National Regulations.  Complete student training records appropriately and in a timely manner, checking student logbooks as required;  Attend all administrative, standardisation and Instructor development meetings and in-service training as programmed;  Play a part in wider company life, such as attending open days and events when requested  Demonstrate and uphold the company’s core values in all actions, decisions, and interactions.  OUR CULTURE  At Leading Edge Aviation, our Vision, Mission and Values guide everything that we do.
