About the Role:
We are seeking a Waste Water Operative to join our team working on our United Utilities contract based of Bamber Bridge, Preston, covering their North West network. This role is joining on our Hybrids work stream.
Location: PrestonSalary: £14.11 per hour or £36,693 per annum working 50 hours per week.Hours of work: 50 hours per week with paid breaks. Shifts over 7 days on a 18 week shift rota (weekend work is required). Typically working 9am-7pm.
Responsibilities:
You will be working closely with a Wastewater Operative to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities.Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns such as timelines.Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.Assisting with all aspects of high pressure water jettingOperate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposesEnsuring safety issues are reported in line with company proceduresPerform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.

About the Role:
The role available will be working from our Carlisle site alongside a United Utilities customer support Technician, where you will be required to work on the Bucket 1 reactive contract solving problems on the sewer network. This role will be on a shift-based pattern with working times of 8am to 6pm front shift and 12pm to 10pm back shift. Weekends and Bank Holidays are included.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Salary: £33,326-£37,525 per annum (depending on experience). Overtime rates are offered for weekday, weekend and Bank Holiday work at X1.5.
