Do you have the ability to communicate efficiently and with purpose?As our Quality Manager you will actively support in leading the Technical function at the Cwmbran site so that it is a valued partner and resource to the manufacturing and Engineering groups and an expert reference point for process and quality performance to improve the product offering or reduce manufacturing cost.What you’ll be doing…Support the Process and Quality (P & Q) manager by leading the Quality function to achieve compliance with relevant standardsManage the Customer complaint database and analyse and report on customer returns to identify problems / solutionsSupport the Process Leaders in understanding process problems by offering advice and providing high level technical acumen including the use of relevant problem solving techniques.Ensure that all calibrations are completed and kept up to dateManage the quarantine register of products and liaise with the Production and Warehouse teams to facilitate the reworking or disposal of non-conforming products.Support and co-lead technical development and innovation to deliver products that will be compliant with required and declared quality standards.Ensure that Technicians carry out their duties in a safe and effective mannerA full role profile is available upon request from HR/Talent Acquisition.What we’d love for you to have:We are interested in you as a person, your attitude, behaviours and values. Produce designs, scopes and costed estimates, prepare CAPEX cases and reports, and quantify and track realised benefits.Safety & Compliance - Ensure contractors apply and comply with Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures, maintaining a safe, secure and legally compliant workplace at all times. Budget Control - Manage and control project expenditure in conjunction with the Engineering Manager to ensure all concepts are delivered within budget and timelines.Continuous Improvement – Actively engaging in plant CI activities, liaise with CI Teams to engage & implement improvement projects around the site.Documentation Management – Use Autodesk Vault and AutoCAD to keep site drawings and records current. The role works on a 4-on, 6-off rota and requires flexibility to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends.Can you say yes?Do you consistently follow safety procedures when moving around the plant and wider workplace?Have you held a manufacturing role where you were responsible for monitoring production processes?Have you successfully met production targets and resolved operational issues?If so we would welcome your application.What you'll be doing:As a Mobile Plant Operator you will ensure manufacturing operations are safe, efficient, and compliant with customer specifications. Support decision-making, share insights on successes and challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to drive best practices on shift.Responsibilities include:Uphold high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance.Organise your area with support from the Team Leader.Meet or exceed targets and KPIs.Accurately capture and manage data using systems like SAP.Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues.Assist in identifying and resolving root-cause issues, including production problems and machine breakdowns, whilst escalating these to the maintenance teams.Perform quality checks to meet standards, working closely with Technical teams.Suggest ideas and solutions for continuous improvements, looking to enhance team performance, sharing knowledge and best practices.Maintain accurate records.Take action to minimise downtime and boost process efficiency.Utilise downtime for rework, maintenance, or compliance checks.Ensure area ownership and maintain good housekeeping.Perform any additional duties required to fulfill the role.What we'd love for you to have:A high regard for health and safety standards with an understanding of H&S regulations.A good level of spoken & written English.
