    Interim Employment Counsel (EMEA) | 12-Month FTC or Consultant | REMOTE UK BASED We are working exclusively on behalf of a high-growth, international professional services organisation seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer (approximately 6–8 PQE) to join its collaborative legal team on an initial 6-month basis, with a strong possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied, strategic role supporting employment law matters across the EMEA region. Working closely with senior legal stakeholders and the Global Head of Employment, you will play a key role in shaping and strengthening employment processes and governance within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business. Key responsibilities will include: Advising on a broad range of employment law matters across multiple EMEA jurisdictions. Supporting and developing works council governance and employee relations initiatives. Helping to establish and enhance an employee relations framework and associated governance processes. Creating practical HR guidance, playbooks, policies and documentation to support the wider business. Partnering with HR, Compliance and business leaders on day-to-day employment issues. Contributing to projects focused on dispute prevention, employment risk management and process improvement, including the use of technology and AI to identify trends and inform decision-making. Supporting the legal team on strategic employment projects as the function continues to evolve. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, pragmatic and proactive, with previous exposure to works councils and experience operating in an international environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys building processes, solving problems and making a tangible impact within a growing organisation. The position can be offered on either a fixed-term contract or consultancy basis (day rate), with a hybrid working pattern and a welcoming London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Privacy Lawyer/Privacy Associate who is on the way up and is eager to take ownership and step into a Head of Privacy role. As the company matures and invests further in its legal and governance infrastructure, this newly created role will lead and embed a privacy function that is genuinely robust, not just defensible on paper. The Role Reporting to the superb CLO, this is a hands-on leadership role with real scope and immediate impact. You will be the primary privacy resource in-house, leading core privacy workstreams across the business from policy and governance through to privacy by design, AI governance, and training. AI Governance experience is essential. You will have a team of three privacy professionals. This is an opportunity to build something. You will shape the privacy function around genuine business need, working directly with product, engineering, sales, marketing and HR. You will be expected to lead workstreams, not just support them. For the right candidate there is the opportunity to travel across Europe and US. What You Will Do Privacy governance and policy own the full suite of privacy policies, frameworks and governance documentation; build and operationalise a data retention framework; maintain the ROPA and privacy notices; support internal and external audits; manage the subject rights process and privacy incidents end-to-end. Privacy by design embed a privacy by design programme across product and engineering; develop practical frameworks that allow fast-moving teams to build compliantly; act as the primary legal voice in product development cycles. AI strategy and implementation lead development of an AI governance framework; advise on privacy implications of AI tools and features; lead DPIAs for AI-related processing; keep the business ahead of regulatory change. Global data complexity progress Transfer Impact Assessments for non-EEA transfers; support jurisdiction-specific compliance requirements; work with engineering on data mapping. Vendor governance refine the DDQ process; manage vendor audit cadence; review and negotiate DPAs. Training and engagement design and deliver a refreshed privacy training programme; build genuine privacy literacy, not tick-box compliance. Commercial support advise on data protection aspects of contracts and supplier arrangements.
