This role focuses on property, title and conveyancing expertise. You'll advise on complex title matters, address escalations, ensure strong legal security for the lender, and support our lending teams with property-related legal risks. The role would be ideal for a solicitor who enjoys technical conveyancing work, problem-solving, and supporting operational teams with clear legal guidance. Main role and responsibilities: Property Conveyancing Support Review and interpret residential property titles to confirm lender security. Identify and resolve issues relating to covenants, easements, leasehold matters, restrictions and title defects. Support drawdown readiness by ensuring legal conditions relating to property are met. Liaise with conveyancers and legal partners to resolve property-related queries. Support Land Registry requirements, including discharges and post-completion matters. Operational Legal Support Act as a technical escalation point for property queries from internal teams. Provide clear guidance on title acceptability for lifetime mortgage lending. Support consistent legal standards across conveyancing activity. Skills Experience we look for: Essential Strong residential conveyancing experience. Ability to interpret complex titles and assess legal risk. Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail. Comfortable working in a regulated, fast-paced environment. This team is pivotal to the business, working with vulnerable customers and alongside our internal legal teams, to manage our high-risk loans. This role would suit someone with first class communication skills and exceptional attention to detail. Main role responsibilities: Case management of our high-risk loans Work alongside our internal legal teams senior case managers to support with our litigation cases. Support and work alongside bereaved family members and Executors. Processing legal documentation in relation to customers estates, for example Grant of probates, POA's and court orders plus many more. We are looking for a qualified Senior Solicitor to lead and develop our Group Lending Legal Team. The legal team supports the lending function of our Group providing expert property legal advice, strategic guidance, and operational support across the full end-to-end lifecycle of lifetime mortgage products. The Head of Conveyancing is a senior leadership role with primary responsibility for overseeing the property and conveyancing related legal aspects of lifetime mortgage lending within more2life, together with the provision of legal oversight on key contracts and commercial arrangements. The role plays a key strategic role in shaping lending policies, managing legal risk and providing oversight and direction on conveyancing related legal issues arising from secured lending activity. The successful candidate will act as the senior legal authority for our lending division, ensuring regulatory compliance, legal risk management, operational excellence, and high-quality technical legal support to the wider business. Main role responsibilities: As well as leading, mentoring and developing the legal team you will play a key role in providing legal leadership across the full lifetime mortgage cycle.
