    Care Team Leader - Dementia Care | Boroughbridge We're recruiting a Team Leader for a 30-bed residential care home in Boroughbridge, on behalf of an award-winning care provider. If you are passionate about ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and want to contribute to a vibrant, caring community, this Team Leader role is tailor-made for you. The Role: As Team Leader within this residential care home, you will be responsible for the safeguarding and wellbeing of all residents, ensuring that personal care is provided in a way that maintains and respects their privacy, dignity, and lifestyle. What you'll be doing: Put care plans in place from a resident's first day and keep risk assessments up to date Communicate with the catering team about residents' dietary needs and update them if things change Help organise daily tasks and fairly delegate duties to junior staff as directed by management Register residents for the services they need Take the lead in emergencies such as safeguarding concerns, complaints, accidents or sudden deaths Administer medication, order supplies monthly and carry out weekly medication checks Support housekeeping tasks during night shifts as needed Stay informed about best practices in elderly care Follow health and safety policies and work well with other departments Be flexible - duties may vary depending on the needs of the service, and you'll be part of the on-call rota Skills and Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years working within the care sector 2 years supervisory experience Good people skills with a caring and compassionate nature Great organisational skills, staying calm under pressure A positive, professional, and proactive approach Experience with creating care plans A confident leader A valid UK driving licence You will be aligned to the organisations Visons and Values.
