Salary (DOE) UP TO £22 per hour - overtime rate: £33 per hour + company vehicle & mobile phone
About the Role
My client is looking for a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join their team. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment supplied by our sales departments within the designated area.
This is a hands-on role where you will not only deliver excellent service to customers but also play a key part in mentoring apprentices, helping them develop their skills and confidence.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of machinery and equipment.
Carry out both warranty and chargeable work to high standards of safety and efficiency.
Mentor and support apprentices, involving them in tasks suited to their ability.
Complete job cards, reports, and documentation accurately using computer systems.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all interactions are professional and positive.
Represent the company in the field, maintaining strong customer relationships.
What We’re Looking ForProven experience in a similar role (industry background preferred).
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Competent IT skills and attention to detail with paperwork.
Positive, professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
Willingness to mentor apprentices and share knowledge.
Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
