Established charity based on London are now looking for a hands on strategic Finance Director to join a small highly dedicated finance team. Working closely with the CEO and the Board of Trustees at a time of restructure. This is a multi layered role and covers the management and development of the IT and Finance Operations. Responsibility of the Finance and IT Director:- Manage and motivate a small professional finance teamDevelop and implement long range financial strategies to ensure the charity's long term sustainabilityProvide high level financial insights for the CEO and the TrusteesLead the annual corporate planning and budgeting cycleFinancial control and statutory reportingOversee the production of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts in accordance with Charity SORP (FRS 102)Lead the relationship with external auditorsManage complex tax requirements involving VAT partial exemption and Gift Aid claimsEnsure full compliance with the Charity Commission, Companies House and GDPR regulationsOversee the IT infrastructureLead on major systems improvements including the IT and Digital strategyEnsure robust Cyber essentials, disaster recovery plans and data protection. Requirements of the Finance & IT Director Role:- ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified with at least 5 years experience in a Head of Finance or Finance Director roleStrong charity backgroundProven track record of managing and developing teamsFirst rate systems skills to develop the current system and bring it to its full potentialAvailable to start at short notice for a 6 to 9 month contract
