    Junior Sales Associate

    We’re looking for a driven, people-focused Junior Sales Associate to work directly with our Branch Manager and leadership team, visiting customers, promoting our products, and helping us grow our business.
    This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with 1–2 years of sales experience who’s ready to learn, earn, and progress. All training will be provided – we just need your ambition, energy, and willingness to get stuck in.

    Salary: up to £32,000 per annum

    Primary Responsibility:
    The QA Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance and compliance of management systems with the following standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, STS, MSC, etc., The role involves ensuring adherence to company Food Safety, Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Energy Management policies and procedures. Additionally, the QA Administrator will be responsible for first aid and fire marshal activities. The role requires travel to branches across the UK and supplier premises for audit purposes.

    Daily and Long-Term Responsibilities

     Product Quality and ComplianceEvaluate and inspect new products to ensure adherence to customer specifications and regulatory standards.Analyze product and process non-conformances, providing recommendations for corrective actions, including necessary modifications.Supplier and Data ManagementMaintain detailed records of supplier information, including third-party certifications, product specifications, and safety data sheets, updating EPIC with pertinent data. Customer and Internal RelationsManage administrative duties related to customer complaints, accident reports, Halal certification, training needs/records, investigation minutes, and supplier information, ensuring records are accurate and updated.Lead investigation and resolution of branch-related complaints. Site Inspections and AuditsConduct site inspections/audits, generating detailed reports for management review, and ensure compliance with company, HSE, and Quality standards. Regulatory Compliance and Safety MeasuresKeep accident traceability files updated and report RIDDOR accidents to HSE promptly.Maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR regulations.Implement and monitor compliance with the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) as per HACCP principles.Coordinate and conduct regular Health & Safety training for warehouse staff. Operational ControlManage pest control activities to ensure timely interventions and comprehensive documentation.Oversee sanitation and cleanliness schedules to ensure all areas meet regulatory and company standards.Develop and implement energy management initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and comply with ISO 50001 requirements.Conduct First Aid and Fire Marshal drills, ensuring all safety protocols are current and staff are appropriately trained.Inventory ManagementOversee product movements, including transit warehouses and stock transfers between branches.Ensure proper stock rotation in branches and report any concerns or suggestions regarding these processes.Perform regular branch audits and specific stock sampling checks, ensuring compliance with Food Safety standards during stock handling and storage to minimize spoilage and losses.Additional ResponsibilitiesAdhere to internal and external customer care, equal opportunity, and Health & Safety policies and procedures.Comply with all company policies, procedures, and business requirements.Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities reasonably expected of the role to meet departmental and company goals.Travel to branches across the UK and supplier premises for audit purposes, as necessary.Implement continuous improvement initiatives in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) practices.Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
     Educational and Experience RequirementsAn honours degree in Food Science, Life Science, Health & Safety, or a closely related field, and/or a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a comparable role. CertificationsCQI/CIEH professional qualifications or equivalent are preferable. Physical RequirementsInvolves manual handling (lifting or moving products or equipment).Requires occasional pushing or pulling of trolleys carrying loads.Training provided for the safe use of appropriate equipment depending on the load involved. SkillsAbility to query and analyze data.Thoroughness and accuracy in all duties.Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.Proactive problem-solving capability, acting decisively.Effective management of multiple projects simultaneously.Authoritative decision-making after appropriate consideration.Effective priority determination and resource allocation.Clear and impactful communication skills, both verbal and written.It is an express condition of employment that you are prepared, whenever necessary, to transfer to alternative groups or duties within our business.
