A leading defence and engineering organisation is seeking a Head of Digital Networks Product Group to take charge of a pivotal transformation within its digital infrastructure portfolio.This high-impact contract role offers the opportunity to shape and lead a cutting-edge product group that is central to a multi-tiered, security-driven IT landscape, supporting mission-critical operations.Key Responsibilities:Lead the execution of a strategic roadmap for modern, software-defined networks across various security tiers.Build and manage a skilled internal and partner-led product team.Guide the development, transition, and optimisation of network services with a major external supplier.Own the full lifecycle of network products: budgeting, change management, risk/obsolescence, supplier management.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance, security, and alignment with enterprise-wide digital goals.Prioritise, track, and deliver against demand while ensuring exceptional user experience and operational performance.Essential Skills & Experience:5+ years' experience in product management within network services.Expertise across LAN, WAN, and software-defined network technologies.Strong background in IT service and supplier management, particularly in complex, secure environments.Proven leadership experience, ideally working to SFIA level 6 or 7.Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira) and automation strategies.Outstanding stakeholder management, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.Desirable Qualifications:Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).ITIL Practitioner certification.Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).Additional Info:Candidates must be sole UK nationals only due to project requirements.This role is subject to BPSS clearance with SC clearance in progress.Excellent opportunity to work on a nationally significant programme driving digital transformation in a secure, agile environment.Ready to lead a high-performing team through complex transformation while driving digital excellence?
