The companySmall businesses move fast. Opportunities often don’t wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are. That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed. We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than 4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive. The TeamIt's still difficult for business owners to sell their business, or buy others, in the sub-10m enterprise value market. Information asymmetry, lack of knowledge, and low transaction amounts make it hard, and most M&A firms shy away from the segment because they can't serve it profitably. manda fixes this: leveraging iwoca's deep footprint in the SME economy, with 150,000+ UK customers, and our ability to build clean, efficient, automated processes, we're building the only M&A platform in the UK. We match buyers with sellers across three channels we already run: inbound from iwoca's SME base, automated outbound to vendors matching live buyer mandates, and referrals from our buy-side pipeline. And we're piloting acquisition finance through iwoca so buyers arrive pre-qualified and often pre-financed.You'll join an early-stage venture with the autonomy and pace of a startup, backed by the data, infrastructure, and credibility of an established lender. You'll work directly with the Venture Lead and alongside our Deal Team of buy-side and sell-side Transaction Managers to define, validate, and scale the product. The roleAs a Product Strategy Analyst, you'll sit at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and product, with the autonomy to find, scope and prototype, and thus shaping how manda evolves. You'll own projects end-to-end, from insight and validation through to launch and iteration. You will be reporting to Mike Hook (the ‘Product Builder’) who is responsible for building the Manda product. Your centre of gravity is product strategy, idea generation, insight, and M&A expertise, complementing the Product Builder who owns the technical build.Product strategy, proposition and architectureTake a big-picture view of the whole M&A journey: map the long, complex process end to end, pressure-test manda's value proposition against it, and find where the experience, the economics, or the data we collect can be improved.Shape manda's value proposition by monitoring M&A service models across the UK SME economy and beyond, from listing platforms to traditional advisory firms, including their fee structures, matching processes, and mandate acquisition channels.Scoping the operating system and customer journeyTranslate operational reality into precise product specs: observe how the Deal Team actually closes deals and turn that into detailed scopes the Product Builder can build from, defining the variables, states, triggers, and mechanics of each workflow (e.g. our HubSpot automation and the systems that run the business day to day).Dissect the complex M&A process into smaller structures, then scope each part for the Product Builder to digitise, automate and optimise, with clear logic, edge cases, and acceptance criteria rather than vague requirements.Scope the customer journey across our channels end to end, specifying each step and decision point so we can systematically reduce friction for buyers and sellers, from first contact through to a closed deal.Analysis and experimentationDesign and run experiments to validate new product concepts, building lightweight prototypes yourself and iterating on customer feedback and performance data.Combine quantitative analysis with qualitative insight to find friction and unlock growth, building the data pipelines and monitoring the team needs to track product performance post-launch.Leadership, collaboration and influenceWork closely with the Product Builder and operations to turn ideas into shipped products, prioritising based on the raw friction of closing deals.Distill complex market dynamics into clear, actionable recommendations for the Venture Lead and iwoca's leadership, then take ownership of the decisions that follow. The requirementsEssential:A commercial thinker with a bias for action who is comfortable navigating ambiguity in an early-stage venture.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous business problems and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.Ability to understand operational reality and translate it into detailed, unambiguous scopes, with defined variables and mechanics, that turn into functional, automated systems, whether that's our HubSpot automation or internal tooling.Strong capability using AI tools, including structured prompting and iterative interaction, to test ideas quickly and articulate clear product thinking, turning intent into execution with speed and precision. You'll have the mental rigour to validate, audit, and refine AI-generated outputs.Comfortable building lightweight prototypes yourself, using AI and low-code tools, to test and validate concepts before handing detailed scopes to the Product Builder.Bonus:2–3 years' experience at an M&A platform, online marketplace, or tech-enabled M&A business, ideally in a strategy, product, or analytics role where you used data to inform commercially meaningful decisions. Or exposure to acquisition finance within a fintech context.Previous experience with HubSpot software or in-house build CRM and Operating Systems. Experience with Python and SQL for data analysis, or BI platforms like Looker.A strong academic background (Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or another quantitative/STEM discipline). The cultureAt iwoca, the best idea wins. We model our culture on independent thinking, challenging untested logic, and evidence-based decisions. We prioritise learning and growth, and give people the autonomy to develop in the direction that makes them most effective. We're a tech company and believe in the power of AI to help us work faster and better. We provide the infrastructure where every iwocan always has access to the best models and where those models have access to all of our data. We will help our people to learn how to use and grow with the new tools available to them. The officesWe put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work:Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks.Events and community-led groups, including running groups, padel, and monthly ping-pong and pool competitions. The benefitsFlexible working hours.Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership.A private GP service (separate from Vitality) for you, your partner, and your dependents.25 days’ holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave.A one-month, fully paid sabbatical after four years.Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support.3% Pension contributions on total earnings. An employee equity incentive scheme.Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme to help you save money.Electric car scheme and cycle to work scheme. Two company retreats a year: we’ve been to France, Italy, Spain, and further afield. And to make sure we all keep learning, we offer:A learning and development budget for everyone.Company-wide talks with internal and external speakers.Access to learning platforms like Treehouse.Useful links:iwoca benefits & policiesLocationLondonEmployment TypeFull timeDepartmentStrategy and Product Read Less

Fraud Strategy Lead – iwocaPayWe're looking for a Fraud Strategy LeadYou'll own the fraud strategy agenda for a B2B payment product that is changing how it delivers digital trade credit. You will design transaction profiling strategies, monitor automated fraud models, and give a small team the direction and context to act on what the data tells us.The companySmall businesses move fast. The teamiwocaPay is iwoca's B2B payment product. It lets business buyers pay on trade credit terms while sellers receive payment upfront. The risk squad manages the loss exposure that sits beneath that model: credit risk, fraud and financial crime, disputes, and payment operation failures such as chargebacks. At the moment, the squad runs largely on operational controls. That works, but it means the analytical and operational sides of risk function independently of each other. We are building the capacity to change that – better predictive analytics, a consistent monitoring framework, and an overarching risk strategy. The squad sits within iwocaPay but works closely with iwoca's Risk Modelling team and the broader technical and data science functions. The roleAs Fraud Strategy Lead, you'll shape how the fraud function is built. The squad currently runs on effective operational controls, but it means the analytical and operational sides work independently of each other. Your challenge is to close that gap: designing transaction profiling strategies, establishing real-time automated decisioning, and defining risk appetite to keep the B2B checkout experience seamless while loss rates stay inside tolerance. You'll set modelling priorities and evaluate automated fraud models alongside embedded data scientists, rather than building from scratch yourself. You'll guide Risk Analysts and work across product and engineering to turn analytical trade-offs into commercial decisions others can act on.Credit policy, model governance, seller counterparty risk – you'll build up the frameworks for a new invoice finance product.. You'll define the standards, judge whether the models meet them, and present a forward-looking strategy that tells Co-Leads and wider leadership what to sequence next. The decisions you make will shape loss rates, approval volumes, and the pace at which a new product scales. The requirementsEssential:Portfolio ownership: You have managed or materially contributed to a credit portfolio of 10 million or more, with accountability for fraud and/or credit loss performance against a defined risk appetite.Experience delivering fraud strategy in a digital lending, fintech, or payments context, focusing on transaction profiling over manual reviews.Experience with B2B-specific fraud typologies, such as buyer impersonation, fictitious invoices, or merchant collusion.Experience managing fraud loss rates against high-velocity transaction volumes, balancing fraud prevention with customer friction to achieve high straight-through approval rates.Ability to monitor and evaluate automated fraud models, assessing feature quality and guiding data scientists without necessarily needing to build models yourself.Ability to collaborate across engineering, data science, and product, translating fraud trade-offs into commercial decisions that non-specialists can act on.Background in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative discipline, allowing you to challenge, tune, and evolve risk frameworks.Uses AI tools to support analysis and decision making, applying strong judgement to ensure accuracy, risk awareness, and sound outcomes.Bonus:Experience at a B2B pay-later or trade credit business.Experience assessing seller counterparty risk or merchant risk in a payments or embedded finance context.Experience building or scaling a risk function during a period of significant product change or volume growth. The salaryWe expect to pay from 110,000 – 130,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews. The cultureAt iwoca, the best idea wins. We model our culture on independent thinking, challenging untested logic, and evidence-based decisions. We prioritise learning and growth, and give people the autonomy to develop in the direction that makes them most effective. We are a tech company, and we use AI where it helps us work faster or better. We expect people to look for useful applications, test them in practice, and use good judgment about when and how to rely on AI.The officesWe put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work:Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks.Events and community-led groups, including running groups, padel, and monthly ping-pong and pool competitions. And to make sure we all keep learning, we offer:A learning and development budget for everyone.Company-wide talks with internal and external speakers.Access to learning platforms like Treehouse.Useful links:iwoca benefits & policiesInterview welcome packCompensation Range: 110K - 130KLocationLondonEmployment TypeFull timeDepartmentStrategy and ProductCompensation110K – 130K Read Less

Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive. The roleThis is a high-impact, multi-channel role where you'll work across Paid Search, Direct Mail, and emerging digital platforms/trends to drive acquisition growth at iwoca. You won't be managing a single channel in isolation. You'll be helping automate operations, challenge model outputs, launch new products, and push into new ad formats across three interconnected areas. The thread connecting everything: using AI and automation to do more, faster, with better judgment. What you’ll work onPaid Search;Account Management & HygieneLaunch, optimise and scale campaigns across Google Search, Performance Max, Youtube and Demand Gen.Keep the Google and Microsoft Search accounts healthy, consolidated, and growing - increasingly by building agents to handle the repetitive hygiene work (negatives, quality score triage, consolidation) and spending your own time on the non-obvious calls.Performance InsightBuild agent-driven monitoring and reporting to spot issues and opportunities faster than a human eyeballing dashboards ever could (ie. keywords, landing pages, search terms, creative assets)Turn the resulting data into decisions: which campaigns to scale, kill, restructure. Reporting is an output of this, not the job.Report on channel performance to stakeholders on a regular basis using both in-platform and internal funnel data.Testing & New OpportunitiesAnalyse performance data to deliver actionable insights and support ideas for testing and optimisation based on clear hypotheses e.g. landing page engagement metrics, keyword themes with lower conversion rate, under performing creative assets.Evolve search strategy for emerging trends related to AI search behaviour (AI Overviews, AI Mode Ads).Prepare for new search ad opportunities across ChatGPT and other AI tools.Direct Mail;Automation & OperationsFind and implement new ways to automate the operational handling of the Mail channel - from campaign coordination, lead delivery to agency and unsubscribe processing.Manage agency relationship and coordinate monthly mailing rounds (200-400k letters)Monitor tracking setup and attribution (QR codes, mail codes, UTMs into Looker/GA4)Product ExpansionCoordinate with product launch teams on go-to-market channel strategy, including creative, data, and measurement.Model Optimisation CollaborationWork with our data science team to monitor, refine and channel the performance of the models powering lead selection.Interrogate predictions vs. actuals, flag divergence, push back on assumptions.Translate model outputs into operational decisions: which percentile to mail, what ROI threshold to use, when to pause or expand.Other;Cross-ChannelIdentify audience overlaps between Mail and Paid Search segmentsSupport multi-channel attribution and contribute to iwoca's broader acquisition strategyThe requirementsEssential:AI-native: you use AI tools daily to solve real problems - automating workflows, processing data, building things; not just prompting for copy.High initiative: you see a manual process and instinctively ask "why isn't this automated?" You act before being asked.Strong critical thinking: you can interrogate data, challenge assumptions, and push back on conclusions that don't add up.Intellectually curious: excited by unfamiliar domains. You'll need to learn Mail operations, causal modelling, credit card mechanics, and emerging search formats - fast.Data-fluent: a data driven mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, interpreting model outputs and translate it into actionable recommendations.Commercially minded: you understand CAC, CLTV, ROI, incrementality - and can translate numbers into business decisions.Clear communicator: you will work across data science, engineering, agencies, and senior leadership.Organised: you can manage concurrent monthly cadences across multiple channels.Preferred (not essential):Google Ads or paid search experience.Fintech or B2B experience.Experience working with predictive/ML models commercially. We are setting an exceptionally high bar for this hire. We're looking for mechanical sympathy with the systems you'll work in, very strong critical thinking, and genuine intellectual curiosity. Channel expertise is secondary - we'll teach you the domain. What we can't teach is how you think. Product Manager - iwocaPayHybrid in LondonThe companySmall businesses move fast. The TeamiwocaPay is iwoca's business-to-business trade credit product. We help sellers get paid upfront while giving their buyers flexible payment terms, and in doing so, we now support more than 10,000 active trade accounts. The iwocaPay team operates like a company within a company: its own product, engineering, data, and commercial functions, organised into small autonomous squads. We're exploring how AI can improve how we work, experimenting with engineers owning problems end-to-end as product builders and accelerating what a squad can ship. The Transactions squad owns the core of what iwocaPay does: facilitating payments between buyers and sellers. That means the checkout journey, payment terms, seller tools, buyer experience, and the transactional infrastructure underpinning our upcoming invoice finance product. The squad currently includes a designer and two engineers, reporting into our Head of Product & Engineering.Drive Product Strategy for TransactionsYou'll decide what a small, fast-moving squad builds next, and what it doesn't. The Transactions squad owns the core payment experience for iwocaPay, our B2B trade credit product. We need someone analytical, technically curious, and comfortable exploring and evolving models for how product and engineering work together. The RoleYou'll be the product mind for Transactions, the person who focuses on which problems are worth solving next, and makes sure the squad isn't building things it shouldn't.We're actively experimenting with how product and engineering work together, moving toward a model where engineers own problems end-to-end, with the PM focused upstream on which problems matter and why. You'll be shaping that model as much as operating within it. Some projects will need you deeply involved in requirements and rollout; others you'll set direction and let a builder run. You'll use data to size opportunities, design experiments, and know whether what the squad shipped actually worked. You'll be at the heart of the product working with commercial teams, and seeing the daily friction of our sellers, and buyers.Impact and OwnershipShape how the product serves buyers and sellers within our trade credit framework. Define how we offer payment terms using data, risk insight, and commercial input, and determine where we can responsibly expand the proposition.Own the end-to-end payment experience to identify and prioritise the features that drive adoption and engagement.Decide what the squad works on and what it doesn't. Stay ahead of fast-moving engineers by having the next valuable problem identified and sized before they run out of meaningful work.Build the case for product decisions using qualitative and quantitative evidence, working closely with analytics and design. Size opportunities, design experiments, measure whether changes worked, and iterate when they do not.Collaboration and InfluencePartner with the Head of Product & Engineering on which problems the squad should pursue, bringing evidence, not just instinct.Work with co-leads and broader iwoca stakeholders to connect product direction to commercial strategy by understanding where the business is going and what that means for Transactions.Be the escalation point when engineers hit questions that cross deeply into commercial, compliance, or risk territory.Run discovery across ops feedback, usage data, seller conversations, and competitive signals to keep the squad pointed at the right problems.Growth and DevelopmentGrow into owning larger strategic bets over time, moving from solving known problems to identifying where we can solve seller and buyer problems or friction.Build deep domain expertise in lending, payments, trade credit, and invoice finance, an increasingly valuable intersection in fintech.Actively participate in exploring a new operating model for how product and engineering collaborate, real influence on how the squad works, not just what it builds. The RequirementsWe look for people who are smart, humble, motivated, and always looking to improve.Essential:A quantitative background wether through a STEM degree, management consultancy, or an analytical path into product. You think in hypotheses and evidence, not instinct.Experience in a product or strategy role where you've owned which problems to solve, including in unfamiliar domains where you've had to build context fast.Comfortable discussing technical systems and translating engineering constraints in to informed product decisions.Excited by using AI to accelerate your own thinking and output, not just aware of it, actively building with it.Confidence representing the product to internal stakeholders: ops, commercial, risk, and translating their friction into product direction.Bonus:Experience in fintech, payments, or e-commerce, particularly B2B transactions or trade credit. You've worked in a high-trust environment where people push back and expect to be treated as peers. You've operated in smaller, autonomous teams experimenting with new ways of working. The SalaryWe expect to pay from 70,000 - 85,000 for this role. But, we're open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance reviews. The cultureAt iwoca, the best idea wins. Growth Strategy Manager - Credit CompassHybrid working in London, UK (At least two days in office per week)We’re looking for a Growth Strategy Manager to join our Credit Compass team. The TeamThe Credit Compass launched late 2025. Over the last year we’ve improved the product and now have thousands of users and a very strong NPS score. We’re now focused on how we scale acquisition, launch new experiences, and start understanding what iwoca products different segments of credit compass users want to use.Your MissionThis role owns cross-sell for Credit Compass. Put simply, the aim is to help more Credit Compass users find an iwoca product that's genuinely right for them, and in doing so grow the value of each visit.A big part of the role is figuring out the right product for the right customer at the right time. That could be a loan, credit card, insurance, iwocaPay, or something entirely new. You'll decide who should see what, when they should see it, and how to make the journey from recommendation to funding feel effortless. The ambition is simple: moving from a Credit Compass user to an iwoca customer should be as easy as booking a flight. It's a hands-on role. You'd spend your time working out where the value and the friction are, testing new products and offers to see what actually works. You’ll work mostly with the credit compass team, a small knit squad of 8 covering engineering, marketing, and design.A few of the questions you'd pick up early on:Which product suits which customer, and when — and how would we know we'd got that right?Where are people dropping out of the cross-sell journey, and how much of that is friction we can fix? What new products or offers should we be testing, and how do we tell quickly whether they're working?ResponsibilitiesYour key areas of responsibility will include:Own the cross-sell funnel end to end: how users move from seeing an offer, to clicking, starting an application then using one of our products. That means owning the metrics, understanding where the drop-offs are, and being responsible for improving them.Work out who gets offered what, and when: Use customer data and eligibility signals to match products to customers sensibly, design the logic and experience behind that, and check it genuinely improves conversion and value rather than just clicks. You’ll need to evaluate how customers respond to loans, credit cards, insurance, iwocaPay and more.Run experiments to answer real questions: Design and ship cross tests - then deep dive into the results to decide what to scale, what needs to be fixed, and what the next opportunity might be. Some tests are already running for you to build on.Make the journeys seamless: Get into the different user journies find the bugs, tracking gaps and friction, and work with engineers to fix them and measure things cleanly, writing clear problem statements and set a high pace for deliveryHelp more declined customers get funded: turning insight into a measurable increase in funded customers from the decline pool.Measure what you ship and iterate: Track how features perform through click rates, activation, drawdown and value per visit, and be as willing to stop something that isn't working as to keep going with something that is.Use AI to work faster and go deeper: Lean on AI tools to speed up the analysis, testing and spec-writing that used to take much longer - pulling data together, drafting and interrogating queries,RequirementsA track record of owning and improving a business metric: you've had a number you were responsible for (conversion, revenue, retention, something commercial) and you've moved it. You think in terms of funnels and value per customer, and you're used to being measured on outcomes rather than outputsData scepticism (i.e. having a sense for when something is off): our data is far from perfect, and one of the most valuable things you can do is spot the obvious problems others miss. That means holding the numbers up against real-world context and noticing when they don't add upStrong data thinking, and a good partner to the people who do the analysis: you'd work closely with our junior analyst/data scientist as a thought partner to help sharpen the framing of their questions, sense checking their approach and analysis, and making sure the numbers translate into sound commercial decisionsComfortable making decisions with partial information: lot’s of what we’re doing is new so we don’t have all the data we’d like before we have to make decisions. You’ll be able to figure out when to proceed, when to experiment and when to pause based on risk vs. reward (i.e. what’s the expected upside, how reversible is this decision, etc).Strong pace setter and sense of ownership: you’ll be responsible for delivering improvements for our customers rather than waiting to be told what to do, instinctively unblocking things or pivoting when a project hits a road block. You're comfortable setting a fast pace for yourself, working out the next most useful thing to do, and driving it forward without needing much direction.Genuinely curious about how changes affect customer behaviour: you like getting into the weeds of specific journeys (watching sessions in Fullstory, speaking to customers or the teams closest to them) to build a hypothesis about why people behave the way they do, and then confirming it with dataAble to bring other teams along with you: at iwoca, people rightly stay focused on their own metrics and areas. So to get things done across Engineering, Ops, CRM and Sales, you'll need to make the case that a change is worth their time, usually by showing it'll improve something they care about. It's less about authority and more about persuading people with facts and data, and getting them genuinely excited to run an experiment with youExcited about helping small businesses: small businesses are critical to the UK economy and the people who run them are interesting, motivated and brilliantly opinionated people. Caring about the mission matters to usThe salaryWe expect to pay from 70,000 - 90,000 for this role.
