Proven experience in mechanical building services maintenance including fault-finding, installation, inspection and testing. Keep accurate maintenance records, review work orders, estimate time/materials and order required parts. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Fully qualified plumber with NVQ or City & Guilds in Plumbing and Heating or Mechanical Systems. Experience in FM/Maintenance environments is highly desirable. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, particularly for reactive tasks. Comfortable turning your hand to various tasks, including general building fabric maintenance. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and building plans. Demonstrates honesty, care, attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Strong prioritisation and time-management skills, with awareness of task urgency. Full UK driving licence required. Diagnose and resolve faults safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with gas safety regulations. Complete all works to agreed service levels and maintain accurate job records via PDA/CAFM system. Participate in the on-call rota to support urgent issues out of hours. Maintain excellent communication with the helpdesk, colleagues, and site staff. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Proven experience as a commercial gas engineer in multi-site environments. Hold valid commercial gas qualifications (COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1/1A, etc.) - Essential Have strong knowledge of heating systems, boilers, and associated plant. Comfortable using tablets or computers for job logging and documentation. Be willing to participate in an on-call rota (enhanced pay). Hold a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points). This is a hands-on and varied role within a supportive FM team, providing stability, regular hours, and the chance to make a real difference maintaining essential public service buildings.
